Solstice_Lacer
My 25 gallon half cylinder. Been going about 2 months now. A "cull" tank for less colorful cherry shrimp, but there's shrimplets in there now so Idk whether I'll add fish or make it a rainbow shrimp tank with other colors of neo or what. 5
Solstice_Lacer
Also somewhat updated my main 29 gallon shrimp tank. 7
Beardedbillygoat1975
@Solstice_Lacerthat half cylinder is really lovely. That sword (or 2!) will love that height. Root tabs root tabs root tabs if you want to achieve that height! @Griznatchthe yellow neo /chili tank really speaks to me. There’s a sense of depth with the plants and scape I really like the others are great but that ones my favorite. 1
Griznatch
@Beardedbillygoat1975 Thanks, that chili tank is probably my favorite small one. I took 4 yellows from the Skittles (75) tank when I started the 20 long in the spring. I had only a few culls in the beginning, and now there's probably 50+ shrimp in there, all yellow. The chilis were hiding all the time in the 55. I only had kubotais in there with them, but they like being in their own space.

They don’t bother anybody in the tank, they’re a bright, metallic flash of neon green visible across the room (once they settle) even in a very green tank. They eat anything I’ve offered, but don’t shoal for anything! They’re as often off doing something by themselves as they are in a group. They’re as likely to hang out with my embers as to hang with each other. That said, I’ve only got 12 in there now (in my 100 G nano fish tank), but 7 more will be joining them as soon as they’re out of QT in a couple more weeks. I don’t expect they’ll shoal any better, but it’s worth trying. That doesn’t really matter to me since they’re beautiful and I love them. 3
Griznatch
@Ken They are awesome, polite little fish. Mine seem to shoal better now that I've doubled the school size. I should have 16 or 17 in there now, a couple of the last batch are pretty small and tend to stay in the ouskirts. I think the white clouds intimidate them due to their size.

Patrick_G
@carefulest, I like your style! Great plant and fish selection. I’d trim the yellowing leaves of the Cyperus Helferi to stimulate new growth. What a cool plant for Nano tanks!

Jeff
@Vanish- I LOVE that piece of wood / stump you have. Where'd you get it? I've never seen a piece of wood like that in a tank. @carefulest I second what @Patrick_G said. Your tanks and scapes are phenomenal! I've never seen a piece of wood like that in a tank. I collect my wood down at the local river. I look for either piles of wood stacked from flooding or exposed root balls from knocked over trees. I boil them in a huge pot, or pour boiling water on them in a bin. There is a slight optical illusion there in that its 3 pieces of wood.

Solstice_Lacer
Figured I would drop this here. I set up a super low tech planted bowl a couple weeks ago. Anubius, java fern, moss and hornwort. Seems to be going ok. No livestock right now. Might add some ramshorn snails to breed in there and keep it tidy. 2
