  1. eBay. I know eBay scares people but I have but lots of fish there and been very happy
  2. For a 20 gal you just need one medium co-op sponge. The problem is probably the impeller. You have want to check. If you give me the model I can tell you if it’s worth popping a now impeller in some are really inexpensive. I just had one fail.
  3. Walmart has lots of decent gear for a good price my kids started on a zebco and moved to a spinning real at about 6. We used lots of live baits like crickets. The kids would walk around and grap crickets and grasshoppers. As far as lures go and kids seem to like to cast( at least mine did) small spoons, the classic red and white if you can find them. Rubber grubs, small top water baits, or poppers. The fake crickets from bass pro, I think there uncle something. There some bite that my son now 18 uses and loves. He gets it from bass pro but other places have it it’s called “magic bait, billgill bait” I don’t like the gulp maggots or grubs.
  4. I use vensovo 4 pcs Terracotta Watering Spikes - Automatic Self Watering Stakes, Plant Watering Devices for Wine Bottles Recycled Bottles, Clay Plant Garden Waterers for Vacations https://a.co/d/1iSvYaT or https://www.ebay.com/itm/255220520510?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=lp4KeCM3QYu&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=v0AGUAjUSm-&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY but there are a number of things that work I have not had luck with pvc pipe. what every you use you really want one end closed
  5. I removed the fry from the double black breeding tank. The group was slowly getting smaller so I removed about 20 to the fry tank Side note: my L-333 King tiger plecos are in the same tank and I final saw the male blocking the female in the cave. This is good because the female has been off on her own lately.
  6. I think it’s the bacteria hing back once you stiopped ghost feeding the bats d other microbes don’t have anything to keep eating and die. This breaks the cycle.
  7. I’m going to ask some one that that inspected water treatment plants.
  8. It’s should not be they are my fish and my video. If I have to ii I’ll copyright all my videos. It’s $35 a pop. Or I’ll sent one long video and then cut it into what I want.
  9. Not every substrate is for everyone. I asked before I got it, they showed the bag and told to run a magnet over it
  10. I love Amazon river tanks. Black water is lovely, but not for everyone.
  11. It does have a lot of bits in it. The two bags I got were very clean. I can definitely see why you had issues with the Quality. I know you answered this but I didn’t see it, did you run a magnet over it.
  12. Try a breeding mop. Mine like tons of plants, but I think my next tank I set setup I’m going with an empty tank with breeding mops.
  13. Then I’ll find some public use music it will probably be classical. Most of it is copyright free unless it’s a performer or like the Boston pop and then you can’t use there live version if they choose to copyright. I have learned that.
  14. It’s from eBay. I can change if you don’t like it. I’m definitely not a dj There are some very baby ones in there now. About an inch
  15. I like easy carbon over excel. I’ve had some issues with fish dying with excel. They both use Glutaraldehyde, which is an algae remover. Flourish Excel, when applied in big quantities, can kill fish but I have used it a the 5ml and had bad results. Saying that easy carbon has Glutaraldehyde but I have not had use but I would guess there is a chance of over dose but with east carbon the pump is calibrated so one pump is for 10 gallons. Even though they both have Glutaraldehyde there formulas are different. @Patrick_G is right about the light. 12 hours is to much.
  16. I have a good one on that tank. If failed Tuesday. It’s a few years old and since the power goes off an on almost everyday from may to September is hard on the backup. I think it worked for a few minutes when it should have lasted 30mins. And since I only have the one air pump for the whole fish room is should last longer than the 30mins. I do have a battery powered air pump but that would be very cost to have one for every tank. Most battery backups I have seen and I’m no expert, have be short run times basically giving you time to shut down computers and like devices. The less wats you use the long the run. If I only had a few I think I would invest in one of the usb charged air pumps. I think I’m going to buy one this month along with some heaters to test how it works and see if it is better than the old bait air pump I use now. The food and no air I think was the cause. I really blame the food because they have been with out air before.

  18. The best thing is I don’t have to worry about the fry. They don’t eat the fry and keep them close. I’m so happy to have a pair this good.
  19. Welcome! Cool way into the hobby.
  20. I am. I left if up and when through the process . I just haven’t heard back.
  21. Hey, think most of us have had this moment at some point. I feed a 3-4 times a day but only because I have several tanks with fry. So I just put a little bit in all the tanks. There is not reason for that I think you got it. Good luck, and if you have to many and you can’t take you may have to remake some. That’s up to you.
  22. Shrimp and more snails. My mystery snails cruise all over the sides plants. Surf under the biofilm.
