Woke up to again my HOB filter burned out not knowing how it even happened all my clocks are normal I dont believe we lost power. Ended up having a spare motor and shes up and running again Anyways ordered a medium sponge filter from cory for my 20g long. Wondering what you guys would recommend as far as time, leaving the new sponge filter in while keeping the HOB running so I dont crash anything. And when I can remove the HOB and all the media Thanks for any input

99.99% positive feedback out of almost a hundred comments in afew hours is all I have to say.. Other than I was pleasantly surprised cory replied to one of my questions on this thread personally afew months back.. the owner the youtube guy watched by many It felt good that a owner can stoop down to my level and still help out with basic advice. Reassures me if I keep going with this hobby or end up stopping, then restarting years later I'll always order and trust this company with my fish needs.. Peace

Could of swore I remember a aquarium co op video of him showing a power bank that you can plug into your regular outlet. And then plug in say your HOB filter so incase there is a power outage it will still keep going.. Had a 1minute outage the other week and fried my hob motor. Anyone have any suggestions for this situation?

New 5g tank I've read around algae is good in some instances just curious what kind this is and why its coming in so heavy. Got a fluval nano light thats on a timer for about 7 hours a day..also put a tiny bit of aquarium co ops easy green in about once a week

The tank came with a 3x3 square sponge pad for bio media I'm adding a few layers of 9x9 coarse pads for extra media to put behind the false backing along with a 25w heater hiding everything..I also got a fluval plant 3.0 led nano to replace the stock lighting. Ive read to cut diamond shape holes in the tubing to allow extra flow behind the wall so the warm water gets less stagnant. I'm planning on doing that or a whole different idea being take the false wall completely out and get a nano hang on back filter..cant decide yet any suggestions? Whats going in the tank so far is 1x micro sword,Vallisneria,amazon sword and down the road when its cycled a beta and afew small undecided little guys I'm currently looking up in forums and doing some research but if anyone has any links or just ideas that might help I'd appreciate it thanks
