  1. Hmm just strange I've never been able.tp find info on why a proven pair would eventually start fighting. 🤔 I'll keep trying. She absolutely loves him it seems no matter what until he starts beating on her. Soon as I put him back in the tank with her she swims right to him and starts her breeding dance lol but he doesn't stand for it for long.
  2. Still cannot get the male to stop beating the female into a corner of the tank and not sure what else to do. Have done water changes to possibly remove fish hormones. But have had to completely remove the male to another tank. I'm at a loss..
  3. Changed out the levamisole in my guppy breeding tank. Can't seem to get motivated to do much these days. 1000s in bills of things that you don't expect coming up taking away from my fish care hobby and stress through the roof of my head with everlasting headaches... ready to shut it down for awhile at this point..
  4. So they had a spawn again but he didn't seem to fertilize very well. She laid all over a crooked piece of spiderwood so assume it was hard for him to follow. Idk why she does this but there is a breeding cone in the tank and can't seem to find a breeding slate anywhere. The spawn failed as all the eggs got eaten. Now the male is picking her into a corner again. I'm lost as what to do really. And is kinda demoralizing. Can't seem to find info anywhere on why a proven pair seem to end up fighting.
  5. Have a feeling this guy or gal is def gonna get bigger then. I feed frozen bbs of my own as well as extreme krill flake and many many snails for it to eat lol
  6. No my father bought a used tank off a marketplace along with all of its livestock so that's why I couldn't really identify what type it is but think we got it figured it out that it's a yoyo loach. I have a very young yoyo and it's white and black not that creamy color and black. And is absolutely beautiful I think as well and thank you! 😊
  7. Is have to say Google is wrong on this. Everyone I talk to says they can get up to like 6 inches. He is already at 4in
  8. Ok won't do it again. But seem to have got them to start their spawning behavior again and thanks for the help Daniel 🙂
  9. Gotta be a yoyo. I can't find any other species that even resembles it. This guy is a massive one as they really typically reach only 2.5 to maybe 3 inches. This guy is almost the size of a full grown SAE.
  10. So it's a yoyo loach says Google? I have a young yoyo loach I just purchased for another tank and it's much more white and block with more pronounced y and o patterns. Do these morph as they get older?
  11. This is definitley the closest I've seen! It's pretty big being almost 4inches long. How big can they get?!
  12. Definitely not that. Hmm I'm lost. This came with a tank purchase someone was letting go of so I'm not the original purchaser and am lost 🙃
  13. Ok I'll look into that. Ya I didn't think so but just couldn't tell if I was seeing things or what lol thank you friend!
