So kanaplex should do the trick then?

Why not just look for strainers? Seems like the easiest option. The one you have in your post just looks like a pasta strainer.

Thank you! That's what I'm expecting honestly. All the neon tetras look healthy, but you never know what they could've brought with them from the fish store, so I'm just treating the whole tank and covering all the bases.

I've got an Indian almond leaves, cones and bark in the tank, so that's all doing well, I'll just stick with the kanaplex then, doesn't look fuzzy or nothing. He just seems kinda lathergic. So I'll do the water change and so the kanaplex again. He had Popeye not too long ago and I was able to cure that with eithromycin and kanaplex, this just seems like maybe it came from the neon tetras I got a few weeks ago. The tetras seem fine, though, so I'm unsure.

Well, between kanaplex, pimafix and erithromycin, it should clear everything up. The place I went didn't have anything specifically for ich, so I had to do what I had to do.

Update: Added some Pimafix as well, so that's 3 medications. Hopefully he'll perk up!

I've got erithromycin in there as well, and I've got a sponge filter and a HOB filter, so there's plenty of oxygenation.

Hey everyone, I've noticed my Betta has been fairly lazy recently. He's been hanging out in the front of the tank today so I can get a good look at him and I noticed this on his body. I know ich is white dots, but I noticed this today. He's been mainly chilling at the bottom of the tank the last few days. My water parameters are fine, all the other fish, shrimp, and snails in the tank are doing just fine. Ive treated the tank with some kanaplex as a precaution, but any suggestions?

So a fellow co-worker and I setup a community tank at work, it's been going beautifully honestly, with one exception, we always have an algae problem. We get rid of one algae, then a week goes by, and a different kind of algae springs up. We do regular water changes, the light is timed and it doesn't stay on long, and we clean the tank regularly. We even have shrimp, snails and algae eating fish in there to handle it and yet there still always seems to be some sort of algae problem. In your opinion, what's the best way we can fix this and make the work tank look better?

I'd go snail. They're not only amazing cleaners that require little to no care, and they can help alert you if something is going on in the tank. You start out with 2 snails, all of sudden you find yourself with a ton of snails, probably means too much waste on the bioload, etc. so they're a great "canary in a coal mine."

Welcome to the forum! How much experience with the shrimp do you have? I keep thinking of putting some in with my betta, but don't want to add too much to the bioload.

Well, not really an aquarium product, but an aquarium itself. Obviously these can be custom made, but ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of having a fish tank go along the top of my walls in a room, all around the border of the room. Kinda like baseboard, but on the ceiling part. I know people who are in the model train hobby do this with a train that goes along the top of their room, but I think it could be cool to do it with a tank.
