  1. Okay, thank you. What brand do you use? I see one that is by Kardon?
  2. I have Corys that occasionally get s fungus infection. This one got one and I wasn't able to monitor them frequently, so I didn't see it until it was pretty bad. Usually I catch it early. I have medicated them before and it always goes away, but this one isn't getting better with medication. I used to use Tetra Fungus Guard, but that no longer seems to be available. I'm presently using Jungle Fungus Clear and have done two doses so far (two days into the second dose) and still not getting better. Any advice?
  3. One of my corys has a fungus issue that they've had before. I treat it with Tetra Fungus Guard and it always works. However, I just noticed it last night (Monday) and am leaving for vacation on Friday. Typically I do two treatments. I put in the three tablets (29 gallon tank), then do a water change two days later. I then start the second treatment and do a water change two days after that. I can do the one treatment and then water change on Thursday. My question is if I do the second treatment and leave it till I come back would the fish be okay? I have someone that will feed them, but I don't know if I can ask them to treat and do a water change. Anyone have an idea or think the fish would be okay with the treatment remaining in the water till I get back. I'll be gone 9 days.
  4. Can Tetra fungus cure and API general cure for parasites be used together?
  5. Yes tools like that. I had a disease issue in my tank resurface. It’s what made me think of it.
  6. What’s the safest and most effective way to sterilize all your aquarium tools to prevent recontamination?
  7. So this works as well? I can put it directly in the tank? How long does it last? Also, does it help lower nitrates by chance? 8. Anyone no how to get rid of the green color after using api fungus cure? I have sponge filters and have done a few water changes.
  9. Hornwart and water sprite as floating plants. I have a planted plant that I’m not sure the name. It’s like long grass.
  10. So I have a 29 gallon tank and I don’t seem to have enough light for plants to thrive and struggle to keep nitrates down. I have 1 clown pleco and 6 corys. Do struggling plants cause an increase in nitrates? Would fake plants be better?
  11. It was medicated in a medical container, so no not in this tank.
  12. I should see nitrites go up then down and then nitrates go up at some point, right?
  13. I have a 5.5 gallon that I’ve had about a month. It has a dwarf frog that I had to move into a new clean tank due to the chytrid virus. It’s been in the new tank with prime and seed every day. The ammonia won’t go down and there’s almost no nitrates. I also ended up with an algae bloom. Should I do water changes, wait and hope it cycles, or something else?
  14. I’m treating for bacterial infection, but after 24 hours, it seems to be getting worse. Can I treat for fungus, bacteria, and parasite at the same time?
  15. It should be fine with sponge filters?
  16. Will it ruin the cycle in my tank?
  17. So this is what I found. I’m getting mixed advice online on how to do it. Should I treat directly in the tank, because if I isolate, I might need to treat the others next? However, if I treat the tank it might kill beneficial bacteria?
  18. Thank you. What do you think my time frame is here? Do you think I should go get some now or will he be good till tomorrow?
  19. Okay, thank you. Here are a couple more pictures.
