  1. What I do is quarantine for a minimum of 4 weeks and monitor if any fish show symptoms during that time I treat with the appropriate medication and start the quarantine period again for another 4 weeks from the last symptoms
  2. Colu

    Cherry barb not well

Looks like fin rot that's close to turning in to body rot the other fish looks like it has a wound with possible secondary fungal infections it's difficult to tell if the white patch has a fuzzy appearance I would get an ammonia test kit if your seeing nitrite you will have ammonia present as well do a large water changes as @nabokovfan87suggested add prime to help detoxify any ammonia or nitrite What I would do is treat with a broad spectrum antibiotic such as kanaplex or maracyn2 and a small amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 10 gallons at that level it won't harm your plants and you can add some Indian almond leaves as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties as well add an extra air stone during treatment give an update in a week before then if your seeing not improvement or there getting worse @GSL
  3. Yes in 11 days redose then do another course in 14 days
  4. Looks like the early stages of a growth there really common in Bettas due to low genetic diversity thought inbreeding they usually progress very slowly so what I would do is add some Indian almond leaves as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties and monitor for the next two weeks give an update if it gets worse
  5. What I would do is just wash your hands with hot water before doing anything with the tanks 0.8 of chlorine will be removed by your dechlorinator so a don't see that as an issue the ragged fins just need some time to grow back can your take a picture of Cory's with the spots if possible to so I can see how it's progressing
  6. I usually feed a small amount once a day during treatment or every other day as @nabokovfan87suggested
  7. I would do a large water change then you can run active carbon for 24hr to remove any remaining medication then dose the prazipro
  8. What I would do is treat with prazipro once every two weeks for 3 full course of treatment so treat on week 1 week 3 week 5 with prazipro I would stop treating with ick X for now @awong918
  9. That looks more like natural colouring to me any rapid breathing hanging out near the surface lethargy how often is he flashing @awong918
  10. What are your water parameters can you take a picture of the sick fish it will help with a diagnosis and he's a picture of betta with velvet for comparison does it look like this
  11. Maracyn2 is an effective broad spectrum antibiotic with the anti-inflammatory properties it very good treatment option for your Betta with the symptoms it's showing
  12. The salt helps to draw out some of the inflammation
  13. Looks like localise swelling of the tissue could be caused by a bacterial infection an injury causing inflammation of the tissue what I would do is treat with maracyn2 active ingredient minocycline also has anti-inflammatory properties it will help reduce some of the swelling and aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallons @Lexi B
  14. Are the spots raised or flat if there raised then you more than likely dealing with epistylis that feed's off of gram negative bacteria on the slime coat of your fish and spreads more quickly at higher temperatures the most effective treatment is maracyn2 in food feeding a small amount twice a day for 7 days and dose the tank with ick X if the spots are flat then I would treat with ick X and aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallons as ich causes massive electrolyte loss and salt adds back in essential electrolytes
  15. I would just feed once a day during treatment @Supermassive
  16. Yes 5 table spoons of salt in a 10 gallon tank
  17. Usually the feeding response will improve with in a couple of days some types of parasite levamisole treats can cause inflammation of the throat that why they spit food out
  18. What I would do is keep the salt at 1 table spoon for 2 gallons for another week while treating with paracleanse if you start to seeing Reddening to the edges of the fins and the fins start recede then I would follow up with a course of maracyn
  19. Am not seeing any Reddening to the the edges of the fins that would indicate fin rot with the other symptoms your fish has I would treat with paracleanse every 2 weeks for 3 full course of treatment following instructions on the box the med trio is preventive treatment so treat with paracleanse on week 1 week 3 week 5 @IsisP
  20. What I would do is add aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 1 gallon to your quarantine tank till the kanaplex and jungal fungus clear fizz tabs arrive columnaris can cause mouth and body rot I think that's what the second fish is showing
  21. Nothing jumping out at me the diet wise that would cause the buoyancy issues your seeing a don't think nibbing at your plants would affect the swim bladder blood worms aren't the best diet I would only feed them once a week
  22. Weight loss and sunken belly are a sign of wasting disease that what probably killed your group of honey gouramis I couldn't rule a parasitic infections with the two Cory's you lossed with them being skinny what I would do is treat with expel p once a week for 3 weeks the Otto's probably carrying eggs I would monitor if it doesn't pass the eggs and get more bloated I would do an Epsom salt baths 1 table spoon for 5 gallons for no more than 15 minutes for 5 days as Epsom salt baths as a muscle relaxant at that level it safe level for your Otto @Jabubaoski
  23. What I would do is monitor for a week if the lumps get bigger then I would do a course of maracyn2 in food feeding a small amount twice a day for 7 days you can add it to repashy if he eats that or frozen foods
  24. Does look like columnaris it's a gram negative bacterial infections that spreads more quickly at temperatures over 75 and can kill in 24hr to 7 days depending on the stain the most effective treatment is a combination of kanaplex and jungal fungus clear fizz tabs containing nitrofurazone following this treatment plan sometimes it can take two full course of treatment back to back @Teacups
  25. Long fin Guppies are prone to scoliosis and other spinal deformity that doesn't look good if you think he's suffering then I would humanely euthanize him with clove oil @Thundercracker
