Shrimp keepers! Looking around there did not seem to be one central thread to show off your shrimp, tell us stories, or collect general knowledge.

So show us your shrimp, share what’s happening in their day to day busy life.

I found my red rili ladies sharing a crushed pond snail. It was so cute watching them for about 15 minutes.ECEB40F7-8770-474D-8192-49D6D3D9763C.jpeg.3aa2d09a4e6cb0c42fc819303d0119e0.jpeg

I call my shrimp Tiny Terrorists. They clean every one and everything in the tank much to the displeasure of most of my other inhabitants.
When I watch them I often think of the National Geographic shows that are played in super fast speed. You see insects demolish an entire animal carcass to bones in a few seconds. That describes my shrimp perfectly.

Quick routine cleaning of the heater this morning. I have three of these really large Amano shrimp. They’re kinda creepy when they’re next to the rili shrimp just because of how much bigger they are E45E6A21-773A-4D2F-B44A-E7B0735F96AE.jpeg.99b8e735dae68d7e0c62c71573e4cb0a.jpeg

The crayfish and shrimp are in different tanks. The crayfish don't seem to pay much attention to anyone in their tank though. I had pom pom crabs with them for a bit and the crayfish were terrified of them. One time I did see a crayfish and a Bolivian ram get into a short tussle, but neither was injured badly. I think you probably could keep them with shrimp in a large tank. The crayfish can't swim very accurately, they just kinda jut backwards randomly, so they couldn't catch shrimp unless the shrimp went up to them.

This year I started keeping blue dreams. It was a rocky start because I had some casualties during 10 % water changes, even though temperature was matched so I started doing drip water changes.

These are my Taia naticoides piano snails. The journal is in my signature

I was thinking the other day Nibbles looks like my white Wizard Filopaludina martensi. Dark snoot and creamy foot journal also in my signature.

That's such a cute face.

I'm jelly you guys have access to so many different snails!

These I got labeled as pagoda snails at my lfs. I’ve tried and can’t find them for sale in the states. Totally lucked into these guys.

We only have rabbits, faunus ater, gold/blue mysterys, nerites and spixi snails here. Other than "pest" ones of course. Oh, and a snail that they call "miniature nerite(Theodoxus anatolicus)" which can reproduce in freshwater! They only live in Turkey and Cyprus if I'm not wrong.

I feel like snails are very underrated here, sadly.

We have access to so many fish but snails, not so much.

Nibbles came in on a plant!  At the time I was salt dipping my plants.  Somehow that didn't phase him; I didn't even know he was there.  He stays peppercorn size.

yeah I get mts, you get nibbles 😄

I found the best thing for me and water changes for the shrimp sanctuary I keep a gallon water jug with 1lbs cc in it. I let it age for the week and set at room temp. Then do the water change and use that water to refill. Then refill the jug and let it season for the week until the next water change.

Time for a shrimp photo @TeeJay!  I hear you have quite the horde now.
