xXInkedPhoenixX
They're very cute. I like Precious Metals.....I noticed one of your females has quite a few splits in her tail. One of my male guppies has a split. I know that's not uncommon but is that ever a concern in something like a tub?

Tiana Hastings
I’m starting my own journey on tubbing too! This will be my first ever mini pond! I threw in some of my Metalhead Red Lace guppies to see what happens at the end of my tubbing season. I know everyone says that when you put a fish out in a pond their color brightens up so I’m keeping some of my metalheads inside and going to compare the coloring when I bring the others inside. 5

Beautiful! Here's wishing you best of luck. I'll admit that putting mine out before June is risky . . . I probably should have waited until June 1st. But hopefully a couple nights in the 50s won't kill them. They can warm up during the daytime.

I was concerned about the temp for a while before I put them in there so I put a small heater in there and it’s kept the water at 65 that’s why I was willing to put them out there 😂 I got them from a gentleman who had imported them from Vietnam and I really don’t want to lose them 💚 I have a vision for what I want them to look like in the near future I just have to start selecting for what I want

Here’s the plot line… I selected 19x guppies from my “Snakeskin” breeding project begun last fall. Here is a video where I explain a bit about them, and my brief acclimation procedure… Now, the temperature in the tub is cool: 64°-F. That’s a “survive-but-not-trive” temperature for Guppies. But the weather forecast over the next three days in our area targets temperatures up to 90°-F. So I’m going to go for it. Here’s a first-look video at Guppies in the tub… Now here’s a question for anyone to weigh in on: I’m interested in a nickname / hobby-name for this color line… any thoughts? Snakeskin? Autumn Blaze? Heavy Metal? Precious Metals? (Any thoughts?) How bout forge-fire

Nate s
I have an in ground pond on the back of the house that’s in mostly shade. Temp usually stays in the mid 70s all summer even when it’s 90s here. I put 20-30 of the mutts out yesterday, hoping this cool weekend isn’t going to kill them. (Lows in the 50s for this first weekend of June).

Patrick_G
You’re lucky! With our La Niña conditions in the NW my pond plants, and my terrestrial plants aren’t thriving. They’re growing slowly but we really need some sun to kick ‘‘em into high gear.
Fish Folk
Overnight flowering. Love this! Water hyacinths. I throw out all extensions beyond three main plants to keep water surface area open, and push growth back toward flowering.
