  1. Hey @Chris, nice tanks! I'm in south central KY (Russell Springs). What area is your store in?
  2. Sounds great! I'm about to embark on the process myself. I'm enjoying checking out other builds on youtube and learning all I can from Corey and others. I'm a planner so I'm trying to think everything through in advance. I have a husky rack with plenty of room for expansion. have some air supplies and air driven filters ready to go. Linear piston pump is next up. I know some of the fish I want to start breeding in the new tanks. I'm just taking it a little at a time, and am prepared to be flexible along the way. So figure out what you like, think about what kind of equipment you want to run and start gathering supplies. Do a sketch of the room and start playing around with shelf/rack/tank placement. Consider the fish you want to keep and the environments they need. Bounce some of those ideas off folks here or in the live chats. I'm not a YouTuber (yet) but I plan to document the build along the way and prep several videos in advance. Will start releasing when I have a few and see where it goes. Mostly just think it would be a fun way to interact with others in the hobby and learn a lot by doing something new. Best of luck to you!
  3. @TheDukeAnumber1, glad to be here. Thanks @Randy. That is actually wood. No idea what kind, something I got at a lfs years ago.
  4. If you have easy access to gas lines and can afford it, I'd go with a ventless gas heater of some sort. Get it with a built in fan to help heat the room more evenly, but by using gas you'll also have a constant heat source even if the power goes out. I can't imagine you would ever regret it.
  5. "Yes, that stingray will do great in your 29 gallon aquarium. Just give him a patch of sand to rest on." Poor guy never had a chance.
  6. Hey fish fam! Long time keeper of fish striving to become a proficient aquarist. Just moved to a new home, where I will be setting up a legit fish room soon. Currently have 6x 10 gallon tanks, 2x 29 gallon tanks, and 1x 55 gallon as my main display (which is actually still at the old house until I can get some help to move it😒). Fingers crossed that gets done this weekend. Currently raising/selling mutt guppies, common bristlenose plecos, and cherry barbs in the smaller tanks. 55g is a planted community with Rainbows, Neon Tetras, Kuhlis, Cories, and a couple of oddballs thrown in. Once the fish room is establish I plan on breeding new fish and trying new things. Happy to be a part of this forum to share and learn together! Here are a few assorted pics from my aquariums.
