The quantity of snails. What do you plan to do with so many?

I was thinking about something like this also. I'll have to keep brainstorming and see what we come up with.

Interesting. I ran into the QT being too low for easy siphoning but I made it work. I need to find another solution too!

Very cool. I resealed an aquarium recently. It took a while to remove all the old silicone and prep for resealing. So far, it's still holding water a couple months later.

Nice looking tank. Like others have posted, what do you plan to do with the extra space in the tank?

@Jacob Hill-Legion Aquatics Thanks for sharing your journey. I'm on a planted tank path and it's been an interesting journey so far.

I'm in the get both camp. I have the nerite snail covered. I plan to get some shrimp once my tank is ready to handle them.

I have a nerite that loves to stay just above the water line in my 5 gallon tank. The other nerite stays under the water. Neither has escaped complete yet.

@lefty o Thanks. I'm kinda wondering if one guppy is bullying the others too much. He is trying to establish his dominance and won't leave the other two alone. Even in the 55 gallon now, he chases the other two around a lot. He may have stressed the dead guppy too much in the quarantine tank but I never noticed him being aggressive until after the one died. I'm thinking it's time to add more fish to the tank to help balance the aggression out some. I'm not sure if the LFS would take him back for an exchange or if he will calm down some if more fish are added.

And we lost our first fish tonight. 😢 we had four guppies in quarantine for a couple weeks now. Tonight was the transfer night and one is dead. They all look very healthy so not sure what happened.

@Fish Folk Interesting info the the Moss balls. I was wondering where they all went as I haven't seen one in a store in a while now. @PerceptivePesce welcome and good luck on your journey. @CKetchum I second PerceptivePesce on Cafe Du Monde's beignets. They are good and should be tried at least once if you get the chance.

Just stopping by to say hello to the forum. We have gotten a lot of use from this site so far, thanks to all the contributors here. We have a 5 gallon planted betta tank that's been set up for a few months now and we are currently cycling a 55 gallon planted tank (future livebearers community tank). It's been a bit of a learning curve for planted tanks so I'm sure we will have plenty of "help" posts.
