subramn
i am little annoyed on hitch hiker snails on my tanks. how to get rid of them? any steps
shkote
Manual removal is usually the easiest. Snail traps work, or even just putting a blanched piece of zucchini in, wait a bit, snails will swarm the food, then pull it out. I do this to collect snails for puffer food. It has been the best method for me.
ChefConfit
Snail eating fish like loaches are also an option.

Streetwise
Be careful what you wish for! I thought bladder snails were a pest, and got a Yoyo Loach. Now I miss having snails in that tank to help clean my leaves which are closest to the lights. The Amano Shrimp do a good job, but I miss having a regular quantity of bladder snails, which are now my favorite snails. None of my later tanks have too many snails, but just enough, from balancing my lighting and nutrients.
