Rikostan
So my awesome daughter handed me a large tote full of random aquarium supplies when she got home from work tonight. Not very many useful things , but there was a couple of small heaters and an air pump and this... https://www.amazon.com/Aqueon-Betta-Falls-Kit-Black/dp/B00INCRSFC Obviously I'm not going to put a betta in it, let alone three as Aqueon suggests, but I do think it might be cool with some plants in it. Any suggestions on what I could use it for?
FrozenFins
What would be cool maybe is one kind of neocaridina shrimp per box. So in one box would be a cherry shrimp and the box after that could be a blue velvet shrimp and then the one after that a yellow shrimp.
Streetwise
I would use it for growing out plant cuttings, and hydrating a cat. 1
FlyingFishKeeper
Maybe make a small paludarium with the filter as a little waterfall, then some sort of low light carpeting plant on the bottom? Just my 2 cents I don't have much experience with anything terrestrial (or plants for that matter).
SpiritLiefe
If you're breeding anything you can use it for fry. The shrimp idea is cool too.
Fonske
I once had several wine glasses filled with water, mini-salvinia/giant duckweed, and pond snails on a windowsill. Some of the glasses developed lively colonies of cool-looking tiny round crustaceans. Was quite fun to observe them.
aquachris
I was thinking for different shrimp too would be kinda cool, or just some plants and small "pest" snail grow out would be kinda fun on a desk?
Wesley
I'd make some small mini scapes or keep some shrimp in it. Its an interesting tank design.
