Atitagain
This tank is going great. Moss has really started growing out. I have some plants in mind to finish the plants in the next couple days. the shrimp are thriving in here as well. All seem really healthy. I found an interesting one in there and there are babies all over the place.😁
Atitagain
Final stocking done, says a guy who names himself Atitagain so I’ll say done-ish. Will definitely be adding different colorations of shrimp.🤣😂🤣 But the fish I’m real happy with. I found some Green Fire Tetra x6. Wanted to get a bigger batch but they only had the 6. So maybe a few more of them too. And I got Ember Tetra x10. Even with the shrimp jumping around I didn’t want to much green so I figured they would be good contrast and stand out very well especially if there schooling. I removed all Anubias, Java fern, and PSO. I’ve also added some new plants to the sides. I really have to start writing down what I’m buying at the LFS I always think I will remember but I don’t. I just know I love the look of this plant in here. With all the roots hanging and how bushy it is. 3

Cool tetra and a good combo with embers. If you decide on another green fish, look at Kubotai rasboras. They’re a very reflective, bright green, almost metallic looking with a very similar body shape to embers. And I agree with @eatyourpeas, I can’t wait to see the first Hulk scalp massage!

The kubotai rasbora are exactly what I want. I would have to order these tho. I don’t wanna have fish shipped in winter so I may change out the green fire in the spring or if my LFS happens to get some.
Minanora
Are you concerned with the skittle shrimp turning into a colony of brown shrimp? I wanted to do blue and orange neos but decided against it because I don't want them crossing and going back to wild traits.

I figure after I get to mixing them up I will have to stay on top of selective breeding. The brown will go in my African cichlid or Oscar tanks. If they survive in there good on them. If it becomes too many being pulled I’ll divide them up. already in there with my cherry shrimp got this but I like him so he stays.

Atitagain
Day 1 6-ish months later… No longer have the hanging blocks they were a magnet for floating food and made it very hard to service the tank. everything is growing in well. I plan to let it get way overgrown before any more than just small trimmings.
OnlyGenusCaps
If anything, all that green makes it look more radioactive. I still love it!
Minanora
How are the shrimp? Cool color morphs yet? And did you ever add any more tetras?

The shrimp are doing great, no color morphs tho. They seem to be staying red although I have not culled at all so some are dark/ light. This tank is kinda in limbo along with a few other tanks. I’m trying to rearrange so I don’t have tanks I can’t reach off a small (6”) step stool unfortunately this tank is on top of a cabinet over my 75G and requires 2 steps and I’m still stretching to service. I am 99% it’s staying hulk themed but it has to move. Along with a bit of neglect and me removing some light the moss has really took a couple steps backwards. Hoping to have time this weekend to get this tank moved and get the moss on a much better path. I have green blood tetra and ember tetra for fish and hopefully will be adding more embers I’m thinking 20-25 would be plenty. 1
Minanora
I feel your pain. I always remind my husband that I have the legs of a corgi dog. He's 6'4".... He can reach everything! 🤣 I hope the move goes well! I think it'll be nice to put it somewhere you can see it better, too.
Beardedbillygoat1975
Yeah too high is no bueno. Says the guy whose racks are nearly 7’ high. Still one of the best themed tanks with a lot of whimsy we’ve seen. Well done amigo! 1

Actually I kinda like the view, looking up into the tank makes it more dramatic. But the trade off is not worth it. On 8/25/2022 at 2:24 AM, Beardedbillygoat1975 said: Yeah too high is no bueno.
