I really want to try sparkling gouramis sometime, but I can never find them locally, and I don't quite want the quantity (6+) that I often see for a 'shipped' amount. Fingers crossed your shrimp colony makes it. My honeys don't bother shrimp at all (though they'd probably eat baby shrimplets), but they like to give some 'friendly' pecks to my mystery snails.... Thanks! I’m totally smitten with the Sparklers. Like @eatyourpeas said it’s fun to look for the bright blue eye among the greenery. I think the adult and juvenile shrimp will be ok, but I might lose some babies. 1
Beardedbillygoat1975 Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 @Patrick_Ghappy for you and your new fishies and hope everyone settles in with minimal losses. The Wet Spot always surprises me with something. If the Coop was closer I’m sure I’d feel the same way based on Robert’s stock lists typically. I do like you can look online before going so that your hearts not broken if they don’t have what you wanted. 1

I told myself I’d was only going to buy fish from Aquarium Coop because of their quality, quarantine process and customer service. All that went out the window when confronted with 250 some tanks of cool fish and a super Nermy staff. 🤣 1 1
Jungle Fan Posted July 23, 2021 Posted July 23, 2021 (edited) ORD but the tank looks great, and your catch of the day all look like very nice additions. When I was planning my tank I was considering a plant shelf with some orchids and bromeliads but since the wall the tank is up against in our living room is the one where we've got my wife's paintings and my photos the plan got vetoed by local government, and I wasn't that attached to the idea that I would have sent it to reconciliation, and overhaul; and so the budget for grow lights for the orchids and bromeliads got absorbed into the Kessil budget and everyone was happy. The male is clearly a hunter. I’ll have to keep an eye on that one. 🙂 The little females are pale, will they become yellow over time? 2
Patrick_G Posted July 23, 2021 Author Posted July 23, 2021 I’m ORD but thanks to everyone for helping me enjoy new fish day 🙂! 2

Yep! Although some stay fairly gray. I think it just depends on the parentage. I’ve found that feeding vibra bites actually made my female a deeper color. 1
