I’m starting to realize my happy shrimp colony has suddenly become prey. I moved the Gudgeon, but the Kilifish, Honeys and Swordtails are all clearly fascinated by the live food I’ve unintentionally provided. I’m going to turn off the lights and hope for the best. Tomorrow I can figure things out. Voted most likely to snack on shrimp 3 3

Patrick_G
Well it was not a shrimp massacre overnight but I’m going to move some fish anyway. The Gardneri Kilifish will definitely get a 5-10 gallon honeymoon suite of their own. Everything else is TBD.

Yeah, they’re so much more interesting in person and in a more natural looking setting. I really hope I can keep them in the little tank long term. I have heard they get very territorial.

GameCzar
Man you done good! Those gouramis do look great in that nano, where's the other stuff headed off to? We like our Green Neons, but they sure seem to be super shy.

Haha, yeah, back in the pre internet days the online bbs community I participated in was really into The Principia Discordia and The Illuminatus Trilogy. It was all fun and games until the great Schism. Hail Eris! 😀

My Green Neons are schooling back and forth with the Rummy Nose. It’s great. I have the Chilis in my 11 gal for now. The Sparkling Gourami are in the three along with the Gudgeon. The rest are in the 75 along with the exsisting Cherry Barbs, Guppy Juveniles and bottom crew. Over the next couple of days I’ll set up some new tanks and shuffle them around a bit. The Gudgeon and Swordtails might get re-homed. We’ll see. 1
Randy
There is nothing quite like the feeling of brining home a ton of fish to fill up a tank!

GameCzar
They will come out and play all day long, but if you go close to the tank to feed them they immediately hide in the plants 😉

laritheloud
oh my gosh! look at those adorable gouramis! I really want to try sparkling gouramis sometime, but I can never find them locally, and I don't quite want the quantity (6+) that I often see for a 'shipped' amount. Fingers crossed your shrimp colony makes it. My honeys don't bother shrimp at all (though they'd probably eat baby shrimplets), but they like to give some 'friendly' pecks to my mystery snails....
GameCzar
@Patrick_G now you need to do these massive pickups weekly, and do it in film form please. Remember to perfect your rubber band removal techniques.
