I don't have the budget for the quarantine trio so would API General Cure work?

If I were to add fish to my betta's tank would it be acceptable to add them without quarantine or should I quarantine them? If I quarantine how long do I quarantine for?

I have been preparing to get a mid dwelling schooling fish and was wondering how to feed a mid dwelling schooling fish. I have seed some foods like the Sera O-nip tabs but was wondering how to control how much food the fish ate so they didn't overeat. Is there any sinking foods for mid dwelling fish? Thank You!

Thank you for the suggestion I will definitely try it. Since I am a beginner to this hobby I did not use live plants in this tank. I hope to be able to try it soon but I just did not do it in this tank.

Do you think I could put the betta in and do an fish in cycle because the bio-load would be so low?

I have recently been setting up a 10 gallon tank and am two days into the Nitrogen Cycle. I was wondering how long it usually takes for the first ammonia spiked to occur. I put four or five fish pellets in there to get the process started and I also added API quick start. I've heard that sometimes if you add the bottled beneficial bacteria there won't be any ammonia or nitrite spikes. If this is true how will I know when the cycle is done?

I have a 10 gallon tank with an Aquatop Forza 5-15 filter and I was planning to put in one male Beta and seven Harlequin Rasboras. Would that be overstocking? I used the inch per gallon formula because I couldn't find a better formula. Is there a better stocking formula? The tank dimensions are 20"L 10"W 12"H
