Yesterday I got three Pigmy Corydoras and two Nerite Snails for Napoleons tank. I plan to get three more Coydoras and a mid dwelling schooling fish.

I finally got to add three Pigmy Corydoras to Napoleon, my betta's, tank. I also added two Nerite Snails to help with algae control. My question is about my Corydoras because one of them does not seem the stay with the group and strays around the tank. Occasionally he will join with the others. Is this something I should worry about or is it okay?

I am hoping to get Java Fern and Water Sprite in my 10 Gallon tank with one male betta fish and 5 pigmy corydora catfish. I was wondering if I floated the Water Sprite could I use Seachem Flourish as a fertilizer and the Nicrew SkylLED 18" as the light? I know that Water Sprite and Java Fern don't really need that much fertilizer and I was wondering if Seachem Flourish would be enough of a fertilizer for micronutrients and the fish could provide the Nitrogen, Potassium, and Phosphorous? Thank You So So Much🙂!

I have looked into the Nicrew SkyLED 18" and was wondering about the PAR and Lumens. On the specs it says the PAR is 63@12 inches IN AIR. It says that the Lumen is 70 lm. I was wondering two things, how should I calculate the PAR to in water and do the lumens need a conversion to be accurate for water. Thanks!

I was wondering if tetra safe plus would neutralize ammonia and nitrites for a while. The description on the bottle does not say whether it does or not but the seller hinted it did. Thank you!

I have heard that you need to wash off your hands before putting them in the tank. I was wondering if this is true and if so what kind of soap I should use?

I was wondering if I should be doing daily water changes or only do water changes when the ammonia or nitrite gets a little high during the cycle.

I was wondering if anyone had any Ideas for a beginner friendly plant for a 10 gallon betta tank. Thank You!

I have had my 10 gallon set up for 10 days and the ammonia spike has already happened but I seem to be stuck on the nitrite spike. The spike started on the 13 so it has been going for 4 days. Any Advice or Observations? I am doing the cycle with a betta fish in the tank.

I am planning to get some Corydora catfish and wanted to know how to clean some flat quartz rocks I found. I have read that putting them in boiling water can cause them to explode and I would rather not try the bleach. Any Ideas?

I would be using 1 tbsp per 3 gallons with Pigmy Corydoras. Would that be good to quarantine them in?

I have heard that corydora catfish are to sensitive to use aquarium salt on. I was wondering if this was true and if I could use aquarium salt to quarantine corydoras? Thank You!

Thank You! I was pretty worried until now! 🙂

I have been wondering for the past few days if my betta has fin rot and finally decided to take it to this forum. One thing to note is that black ring has seemed to stay constant and not get worse for the few days that I have noticed it.

I was wondering what would be a better choice for a tank mate with a red fin betta in a 10 gallon tank. Here is a picture of what my betta, Napoleon, look's like:
