They all look good except one I noticed has slight fin damage when I got home...other than that looking healthy.

Hey everybody I'm starting a new Betta sorority. I have seven beautiful females being acclimilated right now they all came from the same store and in individual cups as they usually sell bettas. My question is should i do the quarantine triple medication pack on them in the new tank? They're all going in at the same time they all came from the same store but I'm not sure if I should do it or not. Thanks

I premixed it but it appears to sloooowly clearing now. Time is the answer

fine but clumps together forming a white film on the bottom if i touch it.,it dispurses back to fine powder in the water collum. mabeye i used too much?

i have 5 golden wonder kilis. Absolutely love them.Brilliant gold and green turquoise colors. males are stunning. look like little snook. They hang on top of tank but do occasionally hang mid to low tank to eat. THEY WILL EAT WHATEVER FITS IN THIER MOUTH. LIKE 10 little CHERRY BARBS! (i had no idea until it was too late. and i saw a tail hanging out the big male killifish mouth, the horror).. lesson learned. But they don't mess with other fish that are big enough at least 1.5 inches. I have 2 male 3 female. mixed with a molly and 5 albino cory cats in a 29 gallon.All get along fine. The molly messes with them a little but not overly aggressive. just got a 20 long and starting mollly tank . i threw a couple spawn mops in and the Kilis started laying eggs overnight. If you see them get them id get about 5 or six or a breeding pair and raise your own. super easy. Good luck

So I did a 20%water change with well water and a added little equilibrium. Now tank is super super cloudy.. left over night still really cloudy . the equill. bottle says it should clear in 15 -30 minutes. But looks like white powder crap all over bottom of the tank. I probably didn't even need it. is there something i can do to clear it or just wait. another water change with no equilibrium? On the bright side,my gh is up and ph down , and my golden wonder killifish are laying eggs. i just cant see them at the moment. I hope it just clears up. lol

i tested my well water and the gh is 13, kh 11 and ph 7.6. Very hard water but a better ph this came out of the crock in the basement. So that's good for plants yeah?ill just use that water instead. mix it in slowly? or do 50/50 , tap/well??

I have my equilibrium should I just take out out like 2qts of water and mix recommended 1tbs per 20 gallon so ide do 1.5 tbs for my 29. And just pour it back in?or do half the dosage? Or do a 20 ,25%water change and introduce half the recomended dosage? Or full amount?

Ph stays around 8.3. I did find an API liquid kh test. It took 30 drops to turn yellow.

I will start with equal. Thank you. I tested my ph out of kitchen tap water which is what i use to fill buckets and do water changes.out of tap the ph is around 7.6-8. But I tested the same water thats been in a bucket for 24 hrs. And it reads 8.2 . and around 8.3 in the 29 gl fish tank. It appears ph is going up as it sits. Whats up with that? Ps.I can't use well water it's all going through the system.

Ok. I have a Molly , 5 kilifish and 2 gold zebra loaches with the 5 cories. Not adding anymore fish. Local store didn't have equillibrium, wondershell or gh test kit.lol go figure. so amazon it is. I do use the root tabs, loaded the amazon swords and spread out across all substrate. Have the easy green ,iron. Just picked up a bio-stone not that it will help.my problem but it sounded good...

I haven't tried testing outside tap water from spicketbecause of it being winter and i started this fish thing in december. but ill check it now with the warmer weather. Going to the store today to get api liquid gh and kh kit. And seachem equilibrium. Would a wondershell be good too in conjunction with equllibrium or just one or the other? i have aquarium salt? what does unscented epson salt do?

Gh is zero as far as API test strips are concerned. Double checked. What now?

mabeye the fluval 3.0 would be better as its a tall tank? but if its not a lighting problem i don't want to drop 150.0 on another light.🤔

I have the finnex stingray led 24" on a 10 hr. timer. 7-5. Ive had them about 2 weeks I have soft water but high ph. i think that may be a problem . but im not sure about kh and gh. gh is pretty much 0 and kh is really high. thanks

bought All Plants i bought from aquarium coop. This a newly established aquarium 29 gallon. its 21" tall ,24 wide ,12"deep Water parameters. Temperature :around 76F HRPH: 8.2 ammonia: 0-.25 nitrite: 0 nitrates: 40-80 GH: 0 KH: its high.. i don't know I use stress coat to condition tap water for changes, and let the water sit in a bucket for a few days. (Sorry about the cloudy water in photo.Doing a water change today. Just recently added 5 cory cats and had a bacterial bloom then my son accidentally turned off my sponge filter for a few hours i didn't know. 😮 So the plants Looked good on arrival, They got caught in that recent snowstorm somewhere during transit, but still arrived looking nice. (Props to aquarium coop for awesome shipping.) I Use the easy green and iron. Java Fern: I glued them to rocks and plants weights ,started having black spots in a few days now almost completely blackish brown now. Amazon sword: Planted in substrate with root tabs. leaves turned yellow in a few days, now almost see-through and brownish yellow. but the shoot still green. Micro grass: planted in substrate just melted and disappeared gone. Water sprite : planted but just melted and disappeared vanished. banana plant and moss ball are ok it seems. Running a brand new finnex 24" low light led. on a timer (i know micro grass is high light but thought it might ok.) Lots of money Not much success.And frustrating Would it better to condition my water for plants or just find plants that can handle my water conditions? (high ph and such) If so what plants would that be? ..I have a water softener system for my house that i use the tap water for tanks. And a separate r.o. system for drinking water. my ph runs high. Talk to me.

UPDATE: So I ended up getting 10 cherry barbs for the 29 and I love them.But 2 died getting stuck in my large intake sponge filter and one got stuck in my anubias plant and died, I just got gone from work and found them, very sad.They are just so tiny still :( Pet store said I could return the b.a tetra so that's good.I'm keeping the dwarf gourami in the 10. He has a little fin rot from being nipped at so I'm medicating him now with melafix . Hope it'll be ok. I ultimately want end up with 12 cherry barbs, 2 or 3 peacock gudgeons Or something similar thru look so cool. And 8 or so corys. Is that too much? not enough? any alternative suggestions for peacocks? Thanks again.

Hey everyone My name is Joe. I will get right to the point and try not to confuse anyone. I have four tanks all lightly live planted. A 1.5 gallon, 3 gallon, 10 gallon and a 29 gallon. Fish i have are 1 powder blue dwarf gourami and 2 albino cory cats in the 10gl. I have one ramhorn snail in the 1.5. One female betta in the 3 gallon. and one Buenos Aires Tetra in the 29 gallon. So i HAD 6 tetra that mostly killed each other and got stuck in the filter they were in the 10 gallon by themselves. ih ave intake filters now so that problem is solved. So the lonely guy or girl tetra is left. I only got the B.A. tetra as suggested by the pet store because i was new to the hobby and was told they're a hardy fish. But im not too fond of them as they were quite aggressive. So i dont know what to do with it.But I know for sure I would like to put the gourami and my 2 cats and get more albino cats for the 29 and move tetra back to the 10. So the question is What could i put with the cats and gourami in the 29? And what other species could i put with the tetra in the 10? (they were paired with female betta in the pet store) Ive read other tetra or danios but its only a ten gallon and i know they are schooling fish so its not like i can get 12 fish in there happily. I just don't know. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. My Betta is happy in the 3 gallon her name is mimi might get a snail for her . And im getting more snails and some shrimp i think for the 1.5. Thanks in advance I look forward to seeing some ideas I've watched the youtube videos figured ide try this out. New to the forum love the You tube videos.
