    Lump on Gourami!

It still could be an intestinal blockage if it were a growth it wouldn't have gotten that big in 24hr I would still fast and monitor if you notice any other symptoms or he gets worse give me an update

    Lump on Gourami!

Is the lump only one side
  3. Looks like over production of the slime coat that can be caused by poor water quality parasitc infection sudden change in temperature malnutrition what temperature your tank any rapid breathing hanging out near the surface flashing what are you feeding and how often do you use a water dechlorinator when doing water changes @ChriFry
  4. Looks like an injury to the fin I would add some aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 3 gallons for a week just remember to only put back in what you take out so if you do a 3 gallon water change put 1 table spoon of salt back in as salt only removed though water changes and monitor give an update if you notice it get worse I would test your ammonia just in case something off @MissAbby
  5. The most effective treatment for a prolapse is epsom salt baths 1 table spoon for 1 gallon for no more than 15 minutes for 5 days as Epsom salt acts as a muscle relaxant to help reabsorb the prolapse or you can quarantine and add a lower dose of epsom 1 table spoon for 3 gallons for 5 days @Potaqua

    Lump on Gourami!

Could be bloated due over eating or constipated what I would do is fast for a couple of days to see if the bloating goes down @Mikon77
  7. What I would do is a full course of treatment do a 50% water then do a second course of maracyn2
  8. It could be ammonia burn to the Gill's what I would do is add a small amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 10 gallons that will aid Gill function and add essential electrolytes add an extra air stone if you have some cycled media from another tank I would add that to your filter UV sterilisers only kill bacteria and viruses in the water column not on surfaces that highly unlikely to kill your benefial bacterial @Marie
  9. What i would do as your not seeing spots on your last fish stop treating with ick X and do a large water change and start a course of kanaplex it's a more broad spectrum antibiotic treatment dose the tank just in case there's a secondary infection going on as i said it's very unusual to lose that many fish from ick or epistylis with the treatment you were using @Kristina
  10. Could be sodalis looks very similar
  11. You could quarantine and treat as Kanaplex can be harmful to snails or you could remove the snails and treat the main tank
  12. Its unusual to lose that many fish from ich that what it looks like to me the spots don't look raised usually you would treat with ick X for three days he fact your also using an antibiotic treatment in food would cover all bases do you have any other medications to hand
  13. With the Redding possible bacterial infections causing inflammation what I would do is a course of kanaplex it's a broad spectrum antibiotic treatment and add an extra air stone during treatment @LoriG
  14. Rasbora can get neon tetra disease
  15. Yes no food for the next 5 days then you can start to feed
  16. With a prolapse I wouldn't feed for 5 days if she reabsorbs the prolapse she will still be able to drop fry your more likely to have the issue reoccur if the prolapse isn't reabsorb you would need I vet to push the prolapse back in add stitches to hold it in place @jodip
  17. That a prolapse very common in liverbears when they are straining to give birth you want to treat with epsom salt baths 1 table spoon for 1 gallon for no more than 15 minutes for 5 days or you can leave her in lower dose of epsom in quarantine 1 table spoon for 3 gallons for a week as epsom salt acts as a muscle relaxant to help your fish reabsorb the prolapse @jodip
  18. As I another neon with possible small lump on mouth that could be the start of a snout chondroma with what your describing two options quarantine any showing symptoms and treat with kanaplex or Monitor if it's neon tetra disease you will see no improvement with treatment
  19. Could be columnaris that causes white patches on the back and head that's a gram negative bacterial infections that spreads more quickly at temperatures over 75 and can kill in 24hr to 7 days depending on the stain the most effective treatment is kanaplex and jungal fungus clear fizz tabs containing nitrofurazone following this treatment plan as you have shrimp and dwarf frogs I wouldn't treat with kanaplex or nitrofurazone they can be harmful to shrimp and possibly your frogs what I would do is two courses of maracyn2 active ingredient minocycline back to back it won't harm your shrimp or frogs @lmhicks101
  20. Erythromycin isn't my preferred choice to treat columnaris as you have it to hand I would start treating straight away maracyn2 active ingredient minocycline or API fin and body active ingredient Doxycycline is what I would use both won't harm your shrimp @IntrepidUT99
  21. I treat the main tank if you have shrimp or mystery snails the medication can be harmful I would quarantine the fish or remove the snails and shrimp and treat which ever is easier to do
  22. Possibly corydoras elegans
  23. Could be columnaris that's a gram negative bacterial infections that spreads more quickly at temperatures over 75 and can kill in 24hr to 7 days depending on the stain I would usually recommend treating with kanaplex and jungal fungus clear fizz tabs containing nitrofurazone following this treatment plan kanaplex and nitrofurazone can be harmful to shrimp so what I would do is two full course of maracyn2 active ingredient minocycline back to back @IntrepidUT99
  24. Yes I would do a water change and start treating with ick X straight away I would stop using paracleanse
  25. That looks like ich to He's how you tell the difference between ich and epistylis if you dealing with ich for that you would want to treat with ick X and a small amount of aquarium salt 1 table spoon for 5 gallons as ich causes massive electrolyte loss and the salt will add back in essential electrolytes if it were dealing with epistylis you want treatment with ick X and maracyn2 in food feeding a small amount twice a day for 7 days
