  6. You can do both kanaplex is more effective against Epistylis salt is effective as Epistylis feeds off the bacterial on the skin of your fish and spread more rapidly at higher temperatures

Herbal treatments aren't very effective at treating most disease they mention on the bottle melafix and primafix are suppose to treat bacterial infections they are only good as a mild antiseptic to help minor cuts to heal anything more serious you need kanaplex or maracyn it the same for herbal ich medication ick x is my go to or API super ick cure
  11. Nothing else is coming to mind it might be something as simple as low levels of desolved oxygen adding an extra air stone well solve that

  13. Looks like Papilloma they can often develope after an injury treatment wise you could try a course of maracyn2 active ingredient minocycline is effective at sinking some types of lumps i would add maracyn2 to food he's how I dose it i use a quarter of a packet of maracyn2 1 scoop of seachems focus 1 table spoon of pellets one cap of garlic guard a few drops of water mix well and feed a small amount twice a day for 7 days store any leftover medicated food in the fridge
  14. With viral infections I would always disinfect the tank and all the equipment before adding new fish you can Also add a UV steriliser that works to break DNA chains of bacterial and viruses to stop them reproducing theirs no way to be 100% it's Dwarf gourami lridovirus without a vet taking tissue samples and culture's
  15. With the red anal area I would be suspicious of camallanus the fact they kill fish with in a month and you haven't added any thing in three would rule them out I would add an extra air stone have you done a water change resently and did you use a water dechlorinator also were they eating ok before they died it's possible that something like a clearing product got in to the tank causing them to have a reaction
  16. Garlic guard is liquid garlic extract I add it to medicated food it make it more appetizering for them
  17. I would still do a course of maracyn in food just to cover all bases @xXInkedPhoenixX
  18. How long have you had them before they died have you added anything new to the tank resently
  19. The fact he died not long after showing symptoms it could have been dawrf gourami lridovirus if that's the case I wouldn't add any gourami's to that tank in the future and disinfect any nets or other equipment with a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution
  20. The problem is while the temperature to low it will affect his appetite once you get the temperature up he might start eating you could also add some seachems garlic guard to his food to help stimulate his appetite if you worried about the heater cooking your fish you can get an ink bird controller also if your seeing no visible spots on your other fish I wouldn't treat them I would just monitor for now
  21. At certain times of the year they can flush the pipes meaning you would have to add double dose of dechlorinator I would check your tap water for chorine and ammonia
  22. It's just a process of elimination do you use a dechlorinator like prime when doing water changes
  23. Ick x should turn your water blue not cloudy I would check your water parameters
  24. I would just add an extra air stone that should be enough if it's low levels of desolved oxygen that's killings your fish do you use co2 also it's possible something like air freshener got into the tank
  25. Eheim jager heater are good quality if he has ich I would gradually increase the temperature to the 79F and treat with ick x
