  1. The blue betta, i noticed today had a really swollen eye, almost like a bubble. and yesterday my pink betta had a huge lump on it. Could this possibly be to changing different types of food? I usually feed blood worms, and sometimes brine shrimp, rarely omega super color flakes, but i have been out of blood worms, and have been feeding them planktin and fish flakes, and brine shrimp. also, there is baby mollies in this tank aswell in a fry net in the corner. thanks Also, i used to have carbon and a black sponge in the back of my hang on the back filter, now i removed the carbon last week and shoved some bio media in there, could this have anything to do with it?
  2. the problem there is i dont have a spare hospital tank or aquarium heater, i do however have a 10 gallon with a male betta, and a 5 gallon also with a male betta, i could maybe temporarily put one of them in a fish bowl for a few days, and use that tank as the hospital tank. but then i dont like to put my betta in bowls, so its a tricky decision. other option is going out and buying a cheap 10 gallon and using it for my hospital tank.
  3. im not sure what this is, i just noticed it today, a large lump on my female betta. anyone have any ideas? and or treatments?
  4. i tried to crush up freeze dried brine shrimp and i went to check on the fry the next day only to come back to them all dead 😞
  5. the problem is, my community tank is well planted and the only way to get them out would be to tear it up., besides, how does one catch such worms? btw, are ramshorn snails good to feed to fish? i got too many n i wanna exterminate them.
  6. im crushing up flakes and pellots with a spoon, into powder, and mixing it in hot water making a paste for the moment.
  7. no, the worms are in my community tank. my betta fry are in there own enclosure
  8. i noticed these little tiny white string like worms in my clay substrate, are they something i should worry about or are they good for the tank?
  9. so i decided to breed my 5 year old crimson red veiltail, with a thailand female betta, i just removed the male from the breeding tank and now have free swimming fry, tiny lil guys. how should i go on to proceed with this. btw when im done, im making a 200 gallon sorrority for the females, and re homing the males to good homes.
  10. so i just put another angelfish in my tank so now i have 2, however the one is chasing the new one. is this normal ?
