It was soooooo helpful and got me thinking…… I am thinking this. 8 pandas. 3 honeys. and for a schooling fish idk if I am going to go with the guppies, harqulins, or another schooler. The otos are a good idea, I will have to look into that. I am thinking of maybe adding my honeys first after I complete my fishless cycle. As these fish are the smallest number that I plan on getting….for 85% stocked, I wonder what size water changes and when I should do them? 🤔 Anyway thanks @clownbaby! You got my mind thinking! Oh and I add all everything I need to start the tank and get it going up and it it will total to about 220 bucks. Not to bad, for breaking the bank actually but yeah, then over the time of the cycle I will add a ton of plants. (Don’t worry not all at once, but spread out).

My nerite snail always disappears when my light timer turns on, I can’t find him anywhere, but I think he might be in the small cave in the middle…. Is this to much/not enough crushed coal? Idk nothin about crushed coral lol Sorry if pictures are hard to tell but there is about 2” deep of it.

Here we go! Plant time!!! Got them. A day early, here they are. There is dwarf sag (it is huge!) and red flame sword, and micro sword with the Monte Carlo floating, pictures down below. Crushed coral. I did 1/4 a bag and stuffed it down behind my cartridge. I rinsed as said on bag and put it in my bag I have. Here is the picture. Plz comment to say if I did something wrong with plants and/or crushed coral. Oh and I also got the algae mini wafers from AC. Thanks everyone

Yes there is a lot of conflict of if a white cloud minnow should be in a 5g, I have heard some say that a 10g is not enough, but I think it can work, my WCMMs are in a 10g and are thriving, they chase yes but not that much. But I am not saying it is 100% fine for them to be in a 5g tank, but it can work if everything is done correctly. They are also the hardiest fish in the universe. But I gotta say this is IMO. I a, not trying to start something tho and I agree mostly @beastie. We all have are opinions. But overall shrimp is the best option, and if it’s shrimp only then you can get some cool looking ones, my favs are the cherry shrimp! @CoryWithAKatana

For minnows in a 5, 6 is going to be the best number, 7 is ok too, but 6 is the best amount of WCMMs. Not to much, and not little of them, give them a lot of coverage and a good diet and i believe this would be the best fish for a 5g. Shrimp and WCMMs can get along actually pretty good, so i think some cherry shrimp or any kind would be great @CoryWithAKatana! And the gold ones, man that would pop. I am jealous as i dont have any places local for gold minnows, but they are as easy to keep as normal white clouds. If you didnt have shrimp i would say snail but shrimp is prob a good choice for algae and such. (if u have one that eats algae that is)

Yes! I know it is a great relaxing no stress game, you can do what u want when you want, and you can build your own island to fit your personality and theme! It’s one of the best games out there. I got into rocket league, but it’s not my thing, and another reason im not good 😆 Yes. I also like donkey Kong, but Nintendo does not make them anymore sadly. But they might in this next year. I love Nintendo!

Panda corys. 6 or so. Platies. (I would like to try them!) guppies. honey gourami. 3 or so. a schooling fish. Idk what fish yet tho….. of course not all of those fish at once. Yes, same, but I use ACs easy root tabs, they are so good, my moneywort is growing like a weed. Agree with @Mmiller2001. Stop those root tabs. This is why your tank is unable to cycle, cause the tabs are putting ammonia back in every time you use them @AquaLove

Ok got it! The ammonia will be sitting there for a while, if your one month in, you might have a month more to go @AquaLove. It takes some time, mine took 1 and a half months
