  1. If he’s got cancer. There’s not much you can do. So if you want to treat it for bacterial infection. That would probably be appropriate. Would be better for the moment if you could isolate him. Hopefully it’s not spreading to the rest. And it’s easier to treat a small tank. You could do 1 tbsp per 5 gallons of aquarium salt and treat with an either maracyn2 or kanaplex. Following directions closely
  2. Aquarium salt at 1 tbsp per 3 gallons for the entire week. when doing water changes only replace salt to the volume of water you remove. Salt doesn’t evaporate. Adding salt to the tank volume will overdose the salt. Top offs require no salt. according to @Colu kanaplex is not readily absorbed via the gut. Better would be Maracyn2 in the food
  3. I can’t tell if it’s just me. But it looks like the scales are lifting off of the body. Starting to have a case of bloat possibly. How long has she looked like that? What they call pine coning. At just a beginning stage. But could get worse rapidly. Hoping it’s just the way I’m looking at it
  4. I’m finding it easier to use the alkalinity buffer and acid buffer from seachem together for my straight ro water. This allows me to target a certain ph and kh number at the same time consistently
  5. Ones I have. Angels for sure, just got a group of Bolivian rams. And large groups of corys. Pandas and skunks right now. realy want to try. Severums. Flower horns or Midas cichlids. And shell dwellers ah heck, who am I kidding, I want to try all the fishes
  6. Any kind of low light plant should be good. For sure anubias, Java fern/moss. Most crypts. Buce . if it gets out of hand , i’d put in an air stone. It can slow gas exchange at the surface.
  7. Okay was running this through aqadvisor. If you did 6wcmm, 2 honey gourami, 4 panda corys. That would put you at about 114% of capacity with an advisable 37% water change every week, that’s very doable, and you could keep the temperature around 72-74 very easily. But you could do less water changes by adding more plants.
  8. Panda Cory’s are not algae eaters, but will feed off the bottom picking up leftover food. But they will still need to be fed. Small algae tabs are what I feed all my Cory’s, then a few times a week I give them carnivore pellets instead. sorry for the chopped up responses, been driving the last couple of hours (daughter has dance competition this weekend). trying to absorb everything at once. Mind is a bit of a jumble at the moment.
  9. Yeah, you’re going to want 5-6 pandas, they feel much safer in groups. But they’re incredibly fun just to watch. Gravel isn’t ideal for them either, but small rounded gravel will work
  10. Yes and are now functionally extinct in the wild there. Yeah, and that’s the way that PetSmart/Petco sells them. All males. Correct, mine was the last one in the store, I almost suggested a trio, but with a school of wccm”s that’s pushing the tank limits. Especially if pandas are also wanted. Cherry barbs are an option, but they do prefer to be in a group. The 10g may be too small for both schools. just checked with aqadvisor. You could do both schools of 6 for 111% of tank capacity. add in 1 mystery snail for cleanup crew and your at 116% of capacity with a 38% water change weekly
  11. na, it's still firm. and healthy. it was just growing suspended. and somebody got under the roots. the current at that spot has it floating. I was watching it to see how it responded to suspended growth. the roots went down to the substrate and the bulb started increasing in size. so, it was actually doing good, surprisingly. That one was actually a coop plant that i apparently didn't get down far enough. i may have to invest in some plant weights. for the mini bulbs. not sure where they came from. but all of a sudden i have 2-3 mini bulbs around the tank. total of 5. 2 big, 3 littles
  12. do you have any hornwort in that tank. looks like dead hornwort fronds
  13. I have had luck trimming back down to the bulb with both types of lilies. although is less stress on the bulb to get it trimmed way before it starts to shoot for the surface. robs less energy from it. even had the tiger lily start new bulb-lets for me. have 4 or 5 where i used to have 2. although one is growing in some dwarf sag. rootlets have descended down 1.5 inches to the substrate. ah, well scratch that. either my skunk corys or my bolivian rams have knocked it loose. I now have a floating tiger lily
  14. yeah, i get those too. even when laying flat. usually i do it again.
  15. Yeah I'm getting my info of xyz Tropicals fish breeder from florida . and tankarium.com. I have one honey by himself he can be a bit shy, but not badly. and my pandas rule that tank always on the move. https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=534ae004d2602dddJmltdHM9MTcxMDQ2MDgwMCZpZ3VpZD0wZTU0NmFiNi1jMWZhLTY4MDYtMWIzMi03OTAyYzAyOTY5YzQmaW5zaWQ9NTU2Mw&ptn=3&ver=2&hsh=3&fclid=0e546ab6-c1fa-6806-1b32-7902c02969c4&psq=cold+water+aquarium+fish&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cudGFua2FyaXVtLmNvbS9jb2xkLXdhdGVyLWZpc2gvIzp-OnRleHQ9Q29sZHdhdGVyJTIwZmlzaCUyMGFyZSUyMGZpc2glMjBzcGVjaWVzJTIwdGhhdCUyMHByZWZlciUyMHRvLHRoYXQlMjB5b3UlMjBzZWUlMjBpbiUyMGhvbWUlMjBhcXVhcml1bXMlMjBhcmUlMjBnb2xkZmlzaC4&ntb=1 and this site contradicts the other on brislenose and cpd's. which just...... errrr...... people make up my mind https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=1d276a969197b916JmltdHM9MTcxMDQ2MDgwMCZpZ3VpZD0wZTU0NmFiNi1jMWZhLTY4MDYtMWIzMi03OTAyYzAyOTY5YzQmaW5zaWQ9NTI0Ng&ptn=3&ver=2&hsh=3&fclid=0e546ab6-c1fa-6806-1b32-7902c02969c4&psq=cold+water+aquarium+fish&u=a1aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuYXF1YXJpdW1zb3VyY2UuY29tL2NvbGQtd2F0ZXItYXF1YXJpdW0tZmlzaC8&ntb=1
  16. oh and since i forgot to mention. very nicely done!
  17. yeah. i would worry about warps or twist over levelness for a 25g or 10g
  18. Yeah. within the bubble is actually very level. considering that with the bubble in the middle of a line is about 2% slope. your def good
  19. even endlers minimum temperature is 72 cpd minimum temp listed at 65. another spot has pandas starting at 65 also
  20. same breeder has wcmm listed from 60-75 both pandas and habrosus min temp starting at 72. I can see where wcmm can have tank mate problems. the inside of my house is usually 72
  21. yeah, i did check on that, there's a good florida breeder has them starting at 70 ending at 80. on the cool side, but doable
  22. should be good. i have an older 10g with a hodgepodge of animals in it. 4 panda cories. 2 neons. a honey gourami with a betta (which is not supposed to work, but they just ignore each other) and 2 otocinclus and 1 snail. so yeah, i think either the honey gourami or the habrosus would work fine. actually probably could do both. just keep an eye on your parameters. you'll need more water changes.
  23. If you can find wild caught neons. They should be fine. They should have good genes still. But you’d need certified wild caught and then start breeding them. Alternatively you could buy twice as many as you want and hope enough survive. If they make it past 2-4 months. They should be fine
  24. Yeah, at least they can school together😪. I’ve had 2 schools of 10 neons in different tanks. 3 left in one and 2 in the other. Can’t seem to keep them. Blacks and greens tougher
