  1. I think if you were to get honey gourami as your centerpiece you could even get 2-3. It’s okay if you have all males but makes sure that you don’t have two males and one female.
  2. I actually forgot to mention I have dwarf water lettuce but it is not growing very well so I am considering adding something else.
  3. Do you have something like a nerite snail? They kind of look like nerite snail eggs.
  4. In my 20 gallon high planted aquarium I have 3 kuhli loaches. I am wondering if I can get some more without overstocking my tank so that they might come out more. Current tank stats: 5 Harlequin Rasboras 3 Rasboras that were sold as Harlequins but look more like espei. 2 Honey Gourami 3 Guppies 3 Kuhli Loaches Various snails. Plants: Vallisneria, Anubias, Crypt, Amazon Sword, Tiger Lotus. Filtration Aquaclear 30 and sponge filter 10-20 gallons. If I were to get more I would get like 2 or 3, but I think my tank is kind of overstocked.
  5. Harlequins are very hard and would be a great schooling fish as I don’t really see a midwater schooling fish. I am not really sure if the thicklippeds are big or fast enough to chase them. If there anything like honeys they will get along just fine.
  6. My favorite plant is probably val, especially corkscrew val.
  7. If it’s a newer tank, it could be a fungus outbreak from the wood
  8. I think that is a good idea. You could also maybe get some more emerald corked to expand the school and maybe make them feel more comfortable. If you do get albinos I would not get any less than 4 but probably atleast 5 or 6.
  9. My tank boss is a young harlequin that bosses around the guppies and chases the other harlequin. The honey gourami, who I thought would be the tank boss always hides in the back. Lol.
  10. Picture 1. Whole tank Picture 2. Center Area Picture 3. Honey Gourami Hideaway - 20 high - All real plants - Fake and Real wood - Harlequin Rasboras, Snakeskin Tuxedo guppy’s, Shy baby honey gourami, (getting another soon), snails. -Sagattaria, Amazon Sword, Anubias, Tiger Lotus, Crypt, Corkscrew Val. -no co2, maybe fertilizer In the future.
  11. You should add some variety of Neon Tetra because they can handle higher temps with the discus.
  12. Definitely Ramshorn Snails, harmless and actually beneficial
  13. This could be cool for a Pea Puffer, you could maybe do a few but in a 10 gallon that might be pushing it.
  14. Does anyone have any tips on sexing Gold Honey Gouramis? Fin Shape, Color, Patterns, etc.? I want to get 1 male and 1 female for my 20 high planted community tank.
  15. Does anyone have experiences with Red Honey Gouramis? They have some at my LFS but I am not sure if the are Honey Gouramis or Red Thick Lipped Gouramis. Online I have read sources that say that there are both red and gold Honey Gouramis, and some say that Red Gouramis don't exist.
  16. I use carbon in my Aquaclear right now... I am not sure if its necessary but it came with the filter so I put it in. (I am a beginner)
  17. Duo or Trio of honey gouramis would be great. A small group of 8 Harlequin Rasboras would look good on the planted background.
  18. I wonder about keeping a small group of honey gouramis with your pearl gourami...
  19. I feed it to my chickens... They love them!
  20. What about Honey or Sparkling Gourami with some Corys or Kuhli Loaches.
