Hey all, I have two 30-gallons that I just freed up (I merged everything into a 75-gal). What are your thoughts on how I can use them? -I'd prefer not to use them for fish as I already have a 75-gal that keeps me pretty busy and happy. -I'd prefer not to sell. -I'd prefer a low-energy solution (I don't want to heat the tanks). -I'd prefer a low-maintenance, set-it-and-forget-it type deal. Besides those caveats, I'm also open to hearing any non-aquarium related ideas as well! Thank you!

I purchased the easy root tab from the co-op store. I thought I had buried them far down in the substrate but later I found that the cory's and guppies in my tank had found it and tore it shreds. The powder is everywhere in the tank and I took out most of the shell pieces. I know that the packaging says they are safe for fish, but are they safe for fish when they eat them? Are they safe for shrimp?

I'm just curious @patricia and @Colu What makes you think it's planaria? I had ruled it out because it doesn't have a triangular head. @Lizzie Block @Lynze Do you know how rhabdocoela usually get into the aquarium? Am I overfeeding? Thank you all for the input!

All I have is this video. It's moving downward on my glass. I also saw a baby moving on the driftwood I have. So far I've only had two sightings. I think we can rule out planaria because it doesn't have the triangular head? I hope it's not something harmful to my tank. My tank parameters are normal. It's a 40 gallon community tank with guppies, neocaridina shrimps, corydoras, and ramshorn snails. I feed every other day and the food is never left over.

I'm having the same problem. I bought two bulbs and one of them didn't sprout. I'll try @Jessica.'s way to see if it's rotten/dud.

Can anyone identify what this is growing in my tank's back wall? It looks like algae but may also be worms? My tank's water parameters are normal and it is not overstocked with fish.

I'm using API's Stress Coat. My water parameters are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites and about 10-20 ppm nitrates before a water change. I assumed since I'm kinda overstocked (31 fishes + snails in 30 gallon) that I would have to do 50% water change once a week.

Hi everyone! I live in Birmingham, Alabama (US) but born and raised in India. I started the hobby just four months ago. Below are some pics of my 30 gallon. I just bought ANOTHER 30 gallon that's in the midst of its first nitrogen cycle. Tank History: This current tank has a lot of plants that seem to be doing well. I have java ferns, elodeas, amazon sword, anubias, cabomba and a water lily. Below is my fish list: Unfortunately, two of my guppies died within the past week. The three remaining guppies are inactive and just float in a dark corner of the tank. I have no idea why 😞 My parameters are great and I do 50% PWCs every week. I've also had two snails die because they got stuck in the intake tube of my Aquaclear HOB filter. I've fixed the issue since. Anyway, I've also had snail eggs and cory eggs laid in the tank but haven't produced any hatchlings because I have no idea how to take care of them. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you all like the pics
