Chiclid addict
I have noticed a film on top the water in one of my aquariums it is white? Does anyone know what this is
Yanni
It might be a really thick layer of biofilm on the surface of the water. I would try to put more flow or some water changes
FriendlyLoach
Can you upload a pic? I would guess biofilm as well, but it being white is a bit weird.

FriendlyLoach
Yeah, that is biofilm. Nothing to worry about. It is not bad.
Philip
If it bugs you, you might consider a SeaChem Tidal HOB filter. It has a surface skimmer. Nice filter in it's own right. Good luck.
MickS77
More surface agitation will help clear it sooner, with an airstone or directing flow upwards.
Maggie
Cory has mentioned using paper towels, a single sheet at a time. There's a video I think, too, or he demonstrated it in a livestream.

Some of the film should be taken away with it.
