rawb92
So recently I picked up some frozen blood worms and brine shrimp gumdrops. I didn't have room in the freezer after Thanksgiving so I put them in my cooler in the garage with 20lbs of ice and they became thawed out today I noticed. Dosnt look like anything is broken seal but the food is soft to the touch. Should I throw it away or feed it after refreezing?
Colu
If they have thawed out you will start to get bacterial growth so I would throw out
rawb92
Thats what I thought but as they are individually sealed i was hoping they wouldn't start spoiling as there wasn't a air exchange
Colu
They still have moisture in the cubs so they will start to go off

rawb92
I should maybe add that I live in New England and it didn't get above the temperature of a refrigerator on max cool. Its just like 80 dollars of food I stocked up on before holidays so im kind of ehhh on just making it into soil Edited December 12, 2020 by rawb92

Kat_Rigel
I mean.... I'm in the minority but I would probably freeze it and feed it as normal.
Daniel
The rule I follow is, if I wouldn't eat it after it thawed out, then I wouldn't feed it to the fish.
