  1. Thanks everyone I'll definitely try the borax idea out! Most of my tanks are in the basement so I'll be able to isolate that area, maybe I can convince my partner to not use the foggers in the other room with tanks as well and just seal off the door way with painters plastic
  2. Hey anyone have any advice on flea fogging a house where multiple rooms have tanks? I'm guessing turning off all air pumps and making sure all tank lids are sealed? What if it's one of those long lasting "kills for months after" hotshot ones? Thanks for any advice!
  3. So basically I had my friend over and they brought their dog and we were keeping an eye on them very good in my fish room and we just noticed this blue streak under his chin which I can only think that he found a old airline by the couch, he's acting fine just has a blue goatee and I don't use blue other than in one drop increments. I feel so bad what do I do
  4. Not in a rush but my girlfriend has been waiting for the reseal and watertight test since her birthday in November, with the holidays I had to do a little at a time and finally now were just gonna go for it and if we have a good seal then she gets to pick out anything she wants at the LFS! Ironically I breed guppies and she dosnt want any lmao!
  5. Not too shabby id say for a first time let's see if she holds till Sunday!
  6. Cool thanks for the advice! Its been a bit over 72 hours so I guess ill post about how it goes after I fill it up!
  7. I just took my first crack at resealing a leaking aquarium, I used selsil aquarium grade silicone. Does anyone have experience with this product? And also does anyone have a suggestion for how long I should wait before water testing the aquarium? I have had it drying in a basement since last Sunday (1-3-2021)with a fan and room temp is around 55 ish degrees Thanks in advance and have a fintastic Friday!
  8. I should maybe add that I live in New England and it didn't get above the temperature of a refrigerator on max cool. Its just like 80 dollars of food I stocked up on before holidays so im kind of ehhh on just making it into soil
  9. Thats what I thought but as they are individually sealed i was hoping they wouldn't start spoiling as there wasn't a air exchange
  10. So recently I picked up some frozen blood worms and brine shrimp gumdrops. I didn't have room in the freezer after Thanksgiving so I put them in my cooler in the garage with 20lbs of ice and they became thawed out today I noticed. Dosnt look like anything is broken seal but the food is soft to the touch. Should I throw it away or feed it after refreezing?
  11. So I accidentally left my bottle of easy green in my garage over night and it seems to have frozen, it was about 27°F out and since bringing it into the house at room temperature it still sounds like a slushy when I pick it up. What do I do? Shake it profusely? Or just order more from the coop because I'll need it eventually anyway? Thanks!
