Biotope Biologist Posted December 10, 2023 Share Posted December 10, 2023 Hydrophilus triangularis (giant diving beetle)most likely. There are quite a few species in the US, but triangularis is ubiquitous and the most commonly seen. Do be careful, they bite, and they bite rather hard.
