Had a water hose pop off a utility sink faucet & it only took literally seconds to create a watery mess. I can't imagine 5 minutes worth of water. My husband tripped & knocked over a 5-gallon bucket filled with fish, plants, sponge filter, etc. when we were rescaping our tank 2 weeks ago. I. Feel. Your.
