TMartins
Hello, I’ve noticed my Platies rubbing a lot on some of the plants in my Aquarium but there are no visible signs of Ich on them. Ammonia, Nitrites & Nitrates are all at 0. Temp 77 degrees and PH 7.
laritheloud
It could be flukes. I'd observe for another day or two, and if it's really frequent, I'd dose the tank with PraziPro. Leave it in for 5 to 7 days per dose, count on doing about 2 to 3 rounds before judging whether it's successful. 1
TMartins
Could I use Paracleanse??
quikv6
Is this a newly setup tank? I am asking because nitrates are 0, which would indicate it hasn't cycled, or is very heavily planted. Also, what is the GH, KH, and PH? Sometimes flashing/rubbing can be due to a hardness/lack of/change of issue.
TMartins
It is a cycled tank, nitrates are zero because it’s heavily planted. Ph is 7.0 but I do not know the hardness, will be looking at getting the Co-Op test strips when my API testing kit runs out.

TMartins
I believe my Platies have Ich, some white spots have developed. I’ve started the Ich X treatment but should I continue with the paracleanse?? Is Ich X safe for Platy fry because I’ve noticed some of the fry are rubbing against plants also. Colu
white spot that could be the cause of your fish flashing I would just treat with ich x for now once the ich has been cure if there still see your fish flashing then I would do another course of paracleanse
TMartins
How about the fish fry. Is Ich-X safe?? The Mother Platy was in the tank with the fry and I moved her after birth.
quikv6
I have used Ich-X in a tank with Platy fry, and they tolerated it just fine.
