Rudles
I had a new snail come in in one of my plant order from Aquarium Co-Op. It has kind of a greenish tint with bright bronze spots and a conical shell. I couldn't get a really good picture because this critter SCOOTS and I have an algae bloom going on! Just wondering what kind of snail it is. Edited June 7, 2021 by Rudles
H.K.Luterman
That's a bladder snail. Good little algae eaters. They do multiply easily, but it's based upon how much food is available.
Rudles
Awesome, thank you. I've only seen one so probably no chance of multiplying. Pretty cool though. I can't believe how fast it is!
sudofish
There only needs to be one for reproduction. They are hermaphrodites. I liked em too and got some from the co-op one time. Of course my electric blue acara ate them all lol.
GameCzar
Bladder snails look awesome. I wonder why they don't get as much love as Nerites and Mysteries.
Rudles
I'm hoping that it does reproduce. I'm sure they'll be a great addition to the cleanup crew.
laritheloud
It will reproduce, lol. We started with one and now they're all over. I love them!

Do you try to control them? I definitely had way too many Ramshorn snails in my 20 high.

The corydoras occasionally find and eat their egg clutches but I just let them do their thing. I like snails too much to do anything about it.
