Tyler LaZerte
All of the parameters for the aquarium work well for both species. I am just having a hard time choosing! Corydoras panda OR Corydoras bilineatus "San Juan"
Cys aquatics
Hi @Tyler LaZertei personally would go with the Corydoras bilineatus "San Juan" because they are a tiny bit bigger and they have almost a shiny scales, but if you want a smaller corydora with a black and white color i would go with the panda corydora.
anewbie
The Corydoras bilineatus "San Juan" look more interesting if you can find them.
Tyler LaZerte
@Cys aquatics. Thank you for your input! I do love the black and white of the pandas but I know the San Juans have that cool iridescence and I know a LFS that has them
Tyler LaZerte
@anewbie That is true! Luckily, my LFS has about 20 right now!

I have a close relative to the San Juan cories -- the Corydora Elegans -- and the shimmer and sheen to the scales is beautiful. They're also utterly adorable and a little different from the more common Cory species. Enjoy!
Tyler LaZerte
@laritheloud Okay thank you! I am starting to get swayed away from the pandas Lol

Tyler LaZerte
@laritheloud @anewbie @Cys aquatics Couldn't pick between the two so I did some research and found out I can have a group of both! So no need to pick 😁 1

Tyler LaZerte
@laritheloud The only way any bladder or pond snails will come in my tank is if they hitchhike on some plants. I'm only putting nerites and a rabbit snail in 🙂

Very few little ones make it when them munching on the eggs.
Tyler LaZerte
Well that's good to know that they will take care of any hitchhikers. Thank you!
