  1. @CorydorasEthan About 98% sure this is Otocinclus vittatus 😁
  2. @louros7 Yes and it would be pretty easy! Move all the inhabitants to a 5 or 10 gallon bucket while you are changing things in the aquarium. Fill the bucket with some tank water that you already have. Make sure to add a couple drops of dechlorinator and an air stone. After you're done, move them all back to the tank. Hope this helps! 🙂🙂
  3. Can anyone identify this piece of driftwood I have?
  4. @CorydorasEthan I don't even have the aquarium yet haha. But when I do, I have a seeded sponge filter and Fritzyme 7 to add
  5. @CorydorasEthan Okay thank you for that. In my process of adding fish, when would you add the corys?
  6. @CorydorasEthan and you think with 5 pandas, 20 cpds, 20 blue dream shrimp, 6 nerites, a rabbit snail, cappuccino snail and a white wizard snail the tank will not be overstocked? Keep in mind, it is also going to be fully planted. I just want to make sure they will have enough swimming area.
  7. @Fish Folk My substrate is used ADA Aquasoil and sand used for African Cichlids. I am putting bahai stone, driftwood, alder cones, and seiryu stone rubble as well.
  8. @Fish Folk Thank you! I am going to put in a seeded sponge and a bunch of live plants for sure. The wood is now and the substrate was used for African Cichlids but has been sitting in a bucket for a couple months. Once I get the tank, I am going to add Fritzyme 7 as well. Does that sounds like a good plan?
  9. @CorydorasEthan Thank you for the idea and list! How many pandas would you put in here?
  10. @KBOzzie59 Oh gotcha! So would it make more sense to get the Fritzyme 7 since there is more?
  11. @Schwack Oh nice. Okay that is helpful info. Thank you!
  12. @KBOzzie59 Oh okay! I will just cook them. Do you need to cook them?
  13. @KBOzzie59 Should I add a bottle of Turbostart along with dosing Fritzyme 7?
  14. @KBOzzie59 yes! I would probably do blanched veggies.
  15. @Patrick_G Okay for sure. I know the biofilm will need to be build up so I will be doing that
  16. @KBOzzie59 I haven't set it up yet but I will be using Fritzyme 7, yes. I don't know if I should add a bottle of Turbostart as well. I want to get a batik nerite, some thorn nerites, and a cappuccino snail to start with. Do you think those would do well off the bat with food?
  17. I have a seeded (about 2 years in an established, planted tank) sponge that I would like to put in my new tank along with a brand new sponge filter. How long can I expect to cycle my tank before I can add some nerites and neocaridina?
  18. Okay that's what I wanted to know. Thank you!
  19. @Colu I was thinking Adolfi or Sterbai. Would you say those would be alright?
  20. I have a 16 gallon aquarium that will have 20 Neocaridina davidii "Blue Dream", 20 cpds, 6 Nerites, a Rabbit Snail, 2 Cappuccino Snails, and a White Wizard Snail. Do you think it would be possible to add a group of 6 corys (maybe Sterbai) to it? I'm just thinking it may be too small for the corys.
  21. @Pigeonduck Us Americans and our inability to adopt the metric system 😉 Thank you for your input. 20 cpds would look amazing in this tank. I just hope they bioload wouldn't be too much.
  22. @Colu Thank you for your input. I am hoping I can supplement with some blanched vegetables and high quality algae wafers. How many Otos would you reccomend?
  23. @Yanni Thank you for your input! This aquarium is going to be heavily planted and there will be a ton of hiding spots in case some males are being bullied.
