  1. He seems very active I just need to know what the lump is to be able to treat him correctly.
  2. Hello one of our classroom bettas has a weird lump on his side. It’s a 5 gallon tank and it’s not mine but I wanted to know what it is on his side and what are the treatments. He has had it for about 4 months now and it’s gradually getting better. Any ideas of what it is? Thanks!
  3. I just Googled aquarium forums and it was like one of the first results when I looked it up, and I have been a member here for about a year and a half now. Even though I hardly am active due to a busy schedule, I still make time occasionally to log on and see what is happening on this amazing Forum.
  4. Breeding Pygmy Cories. I have about 3 fry right now that I accidentally bred but I am going to set up a tank for them to breed and hopefully get some fry!
  5. For me big is like 29 gallons because I own all nano and no super big ones the “big” one I have is 29 gallons. This tank is at least 60 gallons if not more.
  6. It’s 15 minutes away from my house. Do y’all think I need an air stone in that time?
  7. Hello fellow fish keepers!! Someone recently I know father died and he owned a large fish tank with three goldfish and they wanted me to have it. Tomorrow I am going to take the fish and the tank home with me! I have no idea what I am getting into because I have never kept a tank bigger than 29 gallons and I have never kept goldfish in my life. Please give me information on transporting the tank and fish too because that is the most important part about the whole process. Thanks for the help!!
  8. To finally successfully hatch my Golden Panchax Killifish eggs.
  9. Never heard of that before. I have TopFin starter kit lights on my guppy fry tank and they are perfectly fine with no bad spines.
  10. Sometimes female guppies can abort the fry due to stress. I'm guessing when you moved her to the 5 gallon she must of done that. Next time just leave her in the regular tank that she was in and add floating plants. I have done that and have found myself with more guppies then I can handle. Good luck with her next time. True but lighter colored guppies like this one have a lighter colored gravid spot. So it's harder to tell.
  11. I always loved baby platies! I had a red dalmatian platies and they were so darn cute. 😍
  12. Amazing! I have been surprised with a Pygmy Cory fry for myself and he is so cute.
  13. Thanks! Should I remove the eggs already with fungus?
  14. Thanks I actually made my own fish egg box with a air stone. The container is about 1 gallon and I drilled a hole then put tubing then attached a airstone
  15. The PH where I live tends to differ. It can be high or it can be low.
  16. Shell dwellers, Golden Panchax fry once the eggs hatch, Kribs, maybe if I get a 20 long Albino bristlenose plecos, and Rams. Maybe also Neocardina shrimp.
  17. Thanks so much! I used regular line paper for the graph but I’ll have to try graph paper because it’ll be easier. Deserves a follow!
  18. I have Golden Panchax eggs in my 29. Is there any way to keep them from fungus without Methylane Blue. I could always get it but where we are at it’s a Tornado watch and I don’t really feel like going out.
  19. They are all about the same size. Here is one of my favorites the Chili Endler which I own. I also own Tiger endlers which are another beautiful variation. I have 3 males in a 3 gallon and they are very fun to waych *Not my photo
  20. Definetly deserves a follow from me! I’m on a neighborhood page and they often give tanks away for free but very rarely! THANKS SO MUCH!! So helpful!! I’ll DEFINITELY be using those lights and the lid because they are so cheap. Thanks Thanks I’ll look them up!
  21. This is so much helpful information!!! @Fish Folk Do you know of any good DIY lids that I could use because glass lids can be pretty steep. It's currently carpet but we are going to do hardwood flooring on it. I already have 2 spare 10 gallons that I'm gonna use on it. Also do you have any really cheap fish lights that I could use? TYSM!!!
  22. So I was just watching videos recently and I something crossed my mind. I'm getting a bit deeper into breeding fish and want to expand the fish room. So I googled Cinderblock Fish wall build and there was Cory's video. So now I have gotten myself into a hole because I want to do this build so bad but I'm only a Teen with hardly any money. That's where I started thinking about the cinderblock fish wall idea.. So I have been doing research and I have pretty limited money to use on this project. Give me the cheapest and best option on -Lids -Lights -Also the Aquariums themselves I have been looking at Petco and they of course have the best deals on tanks even without the dollar per gallon sale. Thanks, here are the dimensions of what I have to work with and I will send a blueprint and the space that I have to work with. Note* this build may not happen immediately but I will definitely happen in the future. Dimensions of what I have to work with 15 inches deep of space, 4 feet long, 5 feet and 4 inches tall. Thanks
