I don’t know much about goldfish but I do know there is a cool YouTuber called Luke’s Goldie’s, and they have a lot of nice information about goldfish, you may be able to find help there.

If you don’t mind some semi aggressive fish I would recommend tiger barbs, maybe yellow lab cichlids, and red tailed black shark, they are all very unique fish but if you do go with semi aggressive fish I would highly recommend lots of hiding places rock structures and lots of plants will make the tank into a very natural looking habitat for the fish, and the rock structures also give tons of hiding places for the fish to help keep the aggression low.

Thanks for the tips I’ll will keep y’all updated with my progress, the tank is still empty, and I am still collecting the equipment for the tank.

I’m am wanting to breed white cloud minnows, i am going to use a 20 gallon tank with a sponge filter and I want to use another 20 gallon tank as a grow out so I have room for a lot of the white clouds. My tap water has a ph of 7.8 and the water if fairly hard, it’s not liquid rock but it is pretty hard.
