Just look like missing scales from these pics so far.

If it's a mild fungus, you can just let the maracyn and ich x soak, just dosing once for a week.
Otherwise you can treat with maracyn and ich x each day and water change and redose. If you look at the direction on Erythromycin, which is the same active ingredient and dosage, it says to change water daily.
API E.M. Erythromycin
WWW.AQUARIUMCOOP.COMTreats Bacterial Infections Plant Safe Invertebrate Safe We now prefer using Maracyn as it's the same active ingredient(erythromycin). The price of API Erythromycin keeps going up multiple times a year. Maracyn has remained... -
Certainly looks like it, if you're seeing that on other fish as well.

Yes you'll need to fertilize, You have zero nitrogen, which is one of the key building blocks for plant growth.

Plants with color in general need a lot of light the Amman’s gracilis is an amazing plant.

Sure, it’s easy to get. We just don’t carry it cause it looks nothing like that emersed picture. People want a purple plant. What they get is a green stem plant that they struggle to grow.

We have had 5 star and other loyalty programs in the past. They just caused headaches. People would different logins, want to combine points, trade points, use them on different things. Customer service constantly helping them log into their accounts. You also run into problems with online vs in store purchases, outages with the system etc.
Basically two years ago we came the realization that we can't offer great service and sell at a discount store wide. Our store is small and we can get packed in there, this is why we stopped taking cash as it slowed down checkout. Loyalty programs made the lines much slower. We focus on, let's try to improve experience, products and knowledge to keep our customers in.
The savings we have in store are:
$100 get free frozen food.
Buy 10 or more of the same fish and save 10%.
Redeeming Easy Fertilizer Bundle and Med Trio bundle pricing in store.

I'd keep a close eye on him for now, maybe some maracyn as preventative, the thing to watch for right now is a bacterial infection.

As long as it's 100% silicone without mold inhibitors it should be the same.

Do you have a picture of them? I don't know of a golden siamese algae eater. I know of Golden Chinese algae eaters which are very different fish.
Golden Chinese algae eaters can be very territorial and get to like 10 inches. I'd use lots of caution with that pairing.

Yeah, there was a bug with the conversion website we were using and had to find a different one and uploaded the full one later in the day.

I think getting the ones you have now healthy is the right start before adding more. If you think about it logically, If you had 3 dogs who were sick, would you get 3 more, and quarantine them all to try and get 6 pets healthy? That's just harder than getting the initial 3 healthy, then doing it again later, if something goes wrong you have more time to dedicate to it.
As for adding more fish, make sure you are aware that the fish you have now will already be quite the load for a 40 gallon pond. Adding more will require more work.
You could remove all the plants and use salt at 1 tablespoon per gallon to treat any external bacterial and fungal infections. Then change water and do the trio. Or you can just wait for meds to arrive.

It pulls the first picture from the thread, otherwise a mod is filling it in.

I'd try the daphnia and brine shrimp as the shells are high in fiber. The faster for a couple of days likely helped, have you see him poop at all?

Reducing stress has been the only thing I've seen that can help reduce the size. Do you have any other pictures from say the side to get a better look at it?

I personally wouldn't only every do bulkheads, when the DIY ones lose siphons, it's just a flood.

I use Fluval 3.0 lights on my 800g, which is 40 inches tall. Should work well for you as well.

I need to finish moving so I can get some of those albino haplo catfish.

I've got money that says, that pepsi is from Costco 😛

For farms that raise fish, the goal is 2% of body weight every day as far as "scientifically" goes.

Carnivore pellets would work, so would frozen blood worms, repashy, flakes, pellets etc. As to amount that's pretty hard to explain over the internet. Make sure the belly doesn't sink in and it should be getting enough over time.

I can't wait to be setting up tanks again and using these in more of a capacity than testing.

It does look like there may be some infection going on. The salt should take care of it over time, however it most likely will knock your plants back as well 😞
