Ok, I am back!!!! I bought a topfinn 20g long lid at one of the best petsmart that I have ever been too in central Florida. It fits ok, and I like it. Will check paremeters tonight. Plants are doing good, anubias grew a new leaf. Val is shooting runners like it’s going outta style lol, so yeah everything is going good. Pics…

@Tony s, important Q here. My ammonia and nitrite are sitting at 0 ppm. Should I add more ammonia? And see if it drops in 24 hrs and if so I am cycled? Well maybe i am jumping to far because it does take longer usually for a cycle but that is my Q. Oh, should I test for nitrates since nitrite is not present anymore? Thanks a lot.

Test for nitrates. If high, do a water change. You can add ammonia. Or not. Depends on when you’re adding fish. If a bit. Some ammonia is not going to hurtΒ

Here is the nitrates test I just did, what do u think it is? It is SO hard to tell. @Tony s

@Tony s, important question, do i add ammonia now? Let me explain.

I added ammonia yesterday, suggested by @Mmiller2001, and today the ammonia and nitrite are: Ammonia, .50 ppm. Nitrite is a tiny bit less than .25 ppm. From my understanding, the goal is in the fishless cycle is to add ammonia to equal 2 ppm, and in both need to be 0 before 24 hours. So within basically. And if both drop within 24 hours, and nitrates are not terribly high. And yourΒ  done. Am I right?

Ugh, my pics from another device after airdrop turn black, after transferring, so I can not show the new plants I ordered. At least good pics!!!! Here is some low quality ones, but just to show a bit of the new progress in the tank! Water wisteria, water sprite, Windelov Java fern, Marino moss ball, more val, all of it! Pic! Ps: the better pics that I tried to airdrop were portraits, so much better pics, I will eventually figure it out, the ammonia is 0 as of yesterday night, and nitrite .25 ppm. I tested ph to make sure it was fine, and A ok.Β

Looks great @Whitecloud09!

Cant wait till it's all planted and grown in.

Btw, water wisteria grows very fast! It also can develop two diffrent shaped aquatic leaves! It's a cool plant.

Also the marino moss balls are fun to. I believe if they grow big enough you can break it in two so you can get another one.

Good luck and glad to hear about the ammonia being zero!

Guess what? My ammonia and nitrite are 0! Ammonia looks like it is kinda close to .25 but trust me, that is just the lighting. In real life, it looks 0 to me. So, I prob will order fish tomorrow. And do a huge water change the day after before fish arrive. Sound good? @Tony s, my helpful assistant lol. Your very helpful btw! πŸ™‚
