Repashy Mixing - First time for me

Hey hey everyone.

Tomorrow I think it'll be a good day to make a "mix" of repashy for the fish. 

I currently have:
-Community Blend
-Bottom Scratcher (for invertivores)
-Soilent Green

Maybe @Guppysnail is the one to ask and this should be a DM, but I did want to ask what everyone's experiences has been when mixing, what works well.  I'll try a batch out with even portions of all 3, see how it goes, and report back on how the fish acted to it.

Nice. My mix is usually 2 parts community to 1 part others. That community plus is pretty popular.

I just dump what ever I feel like if I am mixing (freeze dried, pellets, wafers, flake), I just make sure the majority is Repashy (community). I over mixed with non-repashy once (bug bites maybe) and it did not hold together well.

I've done that over mixing in adding flaked oyster shell to repashy for puffers. Found out they were not big fans of flaked shells with repashy like they can be of repashy with flaked shells.

They did ok with it.  I tried the bag method and it wasn't the easiest.  It's always difficult to mix this without a whisk and doing this in a bag it's a risk of things getting torn.  It's done, probably not mixed too well.  I did the bag method because I wanted to directly freeze this batch.  Because it wasn't open to the air to help cool it, it took almost an hour to set. Just over.  I did a mix of 1:3 so the texture was a bit softer for the fish as well (mostly corydoras).

Do you recommend a 1:2 mix then or did they seem to prefer the softer texture?

For corydoras I think they have a much easier time with 1:3 mix.  I have heard people trying 1:4 as well but it's going to break down pretty quickly.

Fresh, 1:3 ratio is probably the easiest balance.  If you're freezing it, it's less relevant because it takes time for it to thaw.  I am going to stick with 1:3 for now and have slightly larger batches as a result.

I usually mix mine at a 1:2 or 1:3 ratio. The 1:2 for my guppy's and 1:3 for the corys. And a 1:2 for my snails when they get it as a treat. If I give them to much they hog it all. 

I just mix with a bowl and spoon and put it into a silicone 1"x1" cube tray. Let it cool and then store it in little jars in the fridge. I got both the jars and tray from amazon for like 15 bucks total

I find Repashy super easy to slice. It stays nice & firm, and you can cut to whatever size you want.

Also the shelf life for prepared Repashy is 2 weeks in fridge and 6 months in freezer. 
 

I add calcium carbonate to Soilent Green Repsashy for snail shell health.

That would be enough to last me for 6 months lol. But I'm sure your feeding more tanks than me.

I was feeding quite a bit but now I’ve adopted most of the babies out. I have the little cubes in the freezer now and just take some out when I need them.
