Van Gogh immersive experience

I sometimes forget there is a world outside of my fishroom and this forum 🤪. As soon as I heard about this I had my wife buy tickets, especially that it is in Indianapolis 45 minutes away. I’m not sure if it’s a traveling show or it’s just in different cities at different times, if you have the opportunity I highly recommend seeing this. To be honest I am not a big art guy by any stretch but stary night by Van Gogh to me always inspired, spoke to, intrigued, and other emotions . I enjoy a lot of things about art just haven’t studied or experienced much.

this exhibit is an experience not a art gallery with paintings hung on every wall. Here’s a short example

its a massive walk though interactive Van Gogh inspired experience. It takes his paintings, sketches, and poetry and crests this

alot of his self portraits

and one of his poems

 a few pics

what an amazing time we had I’m sure I will never get to see my favorites from Van Gogh IRL but this was one heck of an experience.

This is in Seattle right now, and strangely it’s competing show called “Van Gogh The Emersive Exibition” is coming to Tacoma next month. And even more strangely it seems there are at least two more emersive Van Gogh shows touring at this time.

Van Gogh immersive experience Is from goggle search when you posted this ⬆️ I wanted to check and make sure the name of it. All I can find it s their calling it “THE LUME: Van Gogh”

🤷🏼‍♂️

I'll definitely have to check it out. The clay center isn't too far. Was thinking for sure would have to go to at least Columbus or Cincy.

I’m becoming fascinated with these shows as a phenomenon. It’s interesting that so many different groups decided to do this at more or less the same time. I wonder if there was an earlier original show that spawned and inspired the others?

I wonder how similar they are? I haven’t checked any others out, do they look relatively the same?

It seems like they’re relatively the same but also have some differences. The one is WV for instance is marketed as being more “hands on”.

The same but different..lol

as interesting as it was, it’s kinda like about 25ish years ago I went to a Led Zeppelin/ Pink Floyd laser light show. It was crazy insane, amazing, really good sound system, had a blast with my GF. But I’ve never went back.

Disclaimer: don’t take this wrong both are beautiful forms of art. Just an analogy.
