If you then breed two of the frys you will get 50% pearlscale and 50% not showing pearlscale. If you then breed two of the pearlscale (third generation) they should all be pearlscale. If your female has a pearlscale gene then 50% will be pearlscale and 50% will not show pearlscale but have the gene.

I have a third pair that I done even remember what they are supposed to be. These were not supposed to be a pair and I will probably still break them up.
Georgiapeach88
Help!!! angelfish peeps….so one of my young angels showed symptoms super quick last wk for popeye. I immediately treated with coop meds. He looked terrible and I didn’t think he would make it. But after the wk of meds he’s back to normal as fast as this came on. However looks as though he lost his one eye that was effected 💔😭 will he be ok with his other adolescent angels and thrive or will I need to place him in solo tank to live out the rest of his days alone?

I think he will do fine. Over the years I have a had a few totally bind fish and they did fine so just having one eye will be ok. Watch when you feed just to make sure he is getting some food. As long as he is getting some he will be fine. 1

There are 4 swords back there - from right to left: amazon sword, ruffle sword, uruguayensis sword and the left most one which has a reddish tint is unknown variance of melon sword. It was sold as a purple aflame which is obviously is not. There are tons of swords which are similar to melon sword so the exact species is hard to pick out without tons of expertise which i lack. Aquarium is a 120 (2ft high 2 ft wide 4 ft long) Edited August 3, 2022 by anewbie

Inquiring minds want to know.
