Incendal
Hi all, I recently bought some pearl weed from the ACO and just taking a brief look at the instructions on the product page it said to plant it in the pot so that it can grow quickly without being uprooted. Having gotten home from work late that night and in a haste to get the plant into the tank before it suffered heat damage (South texas is still scorching even in late September) I planted the whole plant and pot, including the rock wool. My question is, should I uproot the plant now a day later and remove the rockwool, or will it be fine as is? I've never planted a plant using the actual pot it comes with so I'm a bit out of my depth. Thanks in advanced!
lefty o
if you are planting it in the tank in its pot, leave the rockwool. there wont be anything else to hold the plant in the pot without it.
Atitagain
Once the plant takes off really well you can always come back and remove the pot and wool. Fill in the substrate and it will grow back over.
ARMYVET
I would not leave the rock wool in the tank forever....it likes to disintegrate ....dont ask how I know this!
