Mmiller2001
Just wanted to share this find with those who might be looking for a cheap solution. I will say, once it's clipped in, it's sturdy. I don't like how the riser bar looks, but I will cut off the extra once I find the height I need.
Fish Folk
Thinking about getting a Fluval 3.0 Is the riser for ease of maintenance? To moderate light penetration? Some other reason(s)?

I didn't want to put 2 lights on this tank (40 Breeder).
twodaend
@Mmiller2001 Where did you get your risers from? The only place I see them so far is on Etsy.

I got this from Etsy. I think the Coop has some nice ones now.
Brian
Thanks for sharing. Look really nice. Can I ask what type/manufacturer hang on back filter is that?
Mmiller2001
That's a Seachem Tidal 55 that I used to run Purigen in. I no longer use or recommend them. That said, they have lowered their price, probably because of low sails do to it's many problems. Edited May 23, 2022 by Mmiller2001

Kind of a pain, but I've had some tanks where I get the light for what dimension and then run it that way. It's interesting that you're running into issues with the light, it looks like everything I've seen should state that the spread is "wide enough", but obviously that's different than some users' experiences. Lid on that tank looks awesome. Just gonna point that out. On 5/23/2022 at 3:48 PM, Mmiller2001 said: That's a Seachem Tidal 55 that I used to run Purigen in. I no longer use or recommend them. I've also sold all of my 3.0's. I no longer use or recommend them. They are way over priced. I've also ditched the tops and run open top on all my tanks now. Here's the 40 today. nabokovfan87
A lot of that goes into the IP67 certification, but I understand what you're saying. The tank looks good!
