My Congo tetras have this extremely annoying habit of biting the tips of my Anubias Nanas and only the Nanas, however I only have another Nana petite which they don't bother. Has any one ever seen this!? How can i get these buggers to stop? I don't want to get rid of them but they may leave me no choice. Maybe something that is done in their natural habitat? Any help will be great. By the way they get fed plenty and yes I have caught them in the act!

Ok sounds good. Can Ich X and Prazi pro go in together. I have one dose in their from Tuesday night. The HIkari website mentions preferred method is to be dosed after Ich X. I just want to make sure both together won't have an adverse affect.

I have a 75 gallon 6 week old tank. 0 am /0 nitrite/ 25 nitrate/7.6 Ph and it may be on the hard side since it's Chicago water. Temp is 76 degrees. I posted earlier thinking it was fungal or bacterial. I dosed the tank as it were a minor fungal infection seeing the fish were eating and not acting too sick. I did the one treatment of Erythomicin and Ich x one week soak on Tuesday night. Yesterday they seemed to behaving great and eating well still. Today they are eating but a little less lethargic. Now I notice on the their sides what seems to be a white worm. Both have it and it's much clearer now after the med treatment. Contemplating dong Paracleanse but not sure how to incorporate it with what I have done or at what dosages. The worms are tiny and white. That's if they are even worms. That's where you guys come in if you have ever seen this before. From the internet searches they look closest to planaria.

Hello all! I have a 75 gallon 6 week old tank. 0 am /0 nitrite/ 25 nitrate/7.6 Ph and it may be on the hard side since it's Chicago water. Temp is 76 degrees. Well I introduced some fish after a 2 week no med quarantine. I have a male and female Bosemani that seem to have some wounds and posible white growths. These buggers can really swim and are still eating. They are on the low end of the totem pole for their gender and were bullied and still are to an extent by the other 2 males and 2 females. I noticed the one male has two "wounds" to his side and a gill/fin. He is swimming rather frantically compared to the others. In the last pic you see the male head on but blurry. I hope the pictures help on how to treat, if at all. Is this something that can go away on it's own? I have on hand Ich X and API Erythromiacin. I can go to get API fin and body med that may help with the Gram negative infections. I read that Erythromiacin is more for gram positive. Thank you all!

Thank you for all the responses! I guess it’s not an issue as long as I don’t cover the rhizome. I may try to avoid it all together and use little glue. I saw the video where Cory does it and it seems I should try to get as much root as possible and if some gets on the rhizome I should be ok.

Thank you for the idea Deciment! I was hoping to avoid thread but will definitely consider this method. I like the flexibility of it! Also seems to be better for the plant itself.

Thank You Colu for the quick response. Plants just got in from the Coop and despite 10 days in transit they came in great! Cory and everyone at Aquarium Coop come through again!

So I’ve seen you should try to glue the rhizome from a plant onto hardscape and I’ve seen the opposite. Plants are finally coming in and I plan on attaching them to driftwood and rock. Plants are various anubias and Java ferns. Please help with my confusion! Thanks all!

I have the Aquasky 48” on a 75 and it’s a lot of light. The app makes it customizable which you already know. The one you are thinking of should be perfect and 40 breeders aren’t too deep so it should be plenty with the plants you have. I plan on keeping similar plants with that light and feel it is doable in a deeper tank. Good luck!

Looking forwards to being a part of this community! Trying my second attempt into planted tanks. I know third time is the charm but here is to hoping for the best. If not, so be it. We all know that’s how this hobby works. The only other tank I have is a 125 reef tank that has gone through many permutations itself. Reviving my freshwater tanks now and I’m loving it. Will be making my first order with Corey soon!
