  1. No just let it be and it will send leave to the surface with time and the lower leaves will die back from the lack of light or another way to get it to grow towards the surface would be reduce the lighting and it will grow toward the surface to reach more light. I would only do this for short periods though because it can hurt the other plants in your tank if done for extended periods.
  2. Also if you want it to propagate fast I would suggest putting root tabs around it to give the surplus of nutrients.
  3. It can, but there would have to be a surplus of nutrients for it to do so. If you trim all the leaves to your desired height consistently for awhile the plant will send up it's leaves only to that height, because it will think it unsafe to grow higher.
  4. I've never done a dwarf aquarium lily, but I have red tiger lotus. They will propagate themselves if you provide them enough nutrients and light. They will send out another plant off the main plant growing out of the bulb and once that's grown enough you can separate them and let it grow by itself. Hope this helps!
  5. Now is a dual stage regulator really worth it or can you do just fine with a single stage?
  6. Well you should only need the regulator which is $150 since you should have everything else with what they gave you.
  7. I am also considering getting a GLA regulator, but I was considering getting the Gro CO2 regulator and not the pro as I can't seem to justify the extra 100 for the dual stage, but then again I don't know if the dual stage will save more money in the long run or something to justify it.
  8. I do have one question which method will you go with on fry generation, let eggs dry out and hatch after 6-8 weeks or leave eggs in tank pull parents and let fry hatch normally? If you do both methods I would be interested in knowing which is more successful. I have yet to receive my eggs, so unfamiliar with how rapidly they grow to know if it would be easier to hoard up on eggs and try hatching them all at once and letting fry raise up or letting them raise up in tanks, which makes tanks a huge limiting factor for raising fry.
  9. That's actually something I planned on starting to breed. Was going to get some in the next few weeks once I set up my main display again and move fish to it to free up 2 aquariums for the project. Also I wish I lived close enough to drive to the co-op because I would love to get some of your super reds, but alas Michigan is a little ways away from the co-op.
  10. It also shows the location in the item page below sellers name.
  11. What I was thinking about was spot treating all plants with BBA or spot algae by spraying with hydrogen peroxide to kill it before rinsing and placing in holding tank till rescape. Just didn't know which was better/more effective liquid carbon or hydrogen peroxide (aware of the hazards and risks with liquid carbon).
  12. Hi everyone, I am about to start the take down of my aquascape before I do a new scape and I need to treat the algae that built up on some of the plant I plan to reuse. I was wondering what is everyone's preference or found to work the best for treatment liquid carbon or hydrogen peroxide? Thanks, Brian
