  1. He is a dwarf emerald rasbora. I bought him from my LFS on 2/22. Only had one loss and while I don’t see them much because they are very shy they seemed to be doing well. Colored up and would come out if I left the living room. They’re in a 29 gallon co2 injected planted tank. Water parameters are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 20 nitrate, 7.5 pH, temp of 76.7 F. He looks like his tummy is sank in. He still tries to swim and can do like large jumps but mostly just sits there with labored breathing. I moved him to a holding tank with stress coat and prime and an air stone. I also fed him some flake food with tongs but he didn’t eat but maybe a bite or two. Also I was gone for two days and my lights and co2 are all automatic so they just fasted from Friday at 8:30am to Sunday and 8:30am. I came back and my tank is COVERED in hydra. It’s on every surface. Since he’s so little (like 1/2”) could the hydra have hurt him?
  2. Stock idea for 29 gallon planted tank This is what I’m thinking for my 29g. It is heavily planted and running two filters (fluval 50 and top fin 30). Co2 injected. PH of 7.4. Alkalinity of 720ppm. Hardness of 75ppm. TDS of ~600 (my tap water is at about this same TDS). Temp stays between 75 and 77.5 with a temp controller. What do you think? What would you do differently? Or yellow neo?
  3. Because the tank one is actually pretty grey but if I mix the perfectly blue tap with the grey tank I get a greyish purple and that doesn’t make any sense to me
  4. Here is with all three at 5 & 10 minutes.
  5. I empty the tubes and then run them under warm water, shake them with water, run the under again, shake again, and one last rinse. They they’re still dirty idk how else to clean them lol
  6. I shake all the bottles just in case but the instructions don’t specify to shake this one. It’s the nitrate they specify shaking for at least a minute. Expiration isn’t until 2026 I just bought this kit
  7. I’ve tested it three times! It did this to me yesterday so I diluted it with tap water (tap water tested 0 nitrite) and I got crazy bright purple so I did a 50% water change and then the nitrites showed 0ppm. And now it’s testing grey again. This doesn’t make sense to me. If it was off the charts high a 50% water change shouldn’t have knocked it to 0ppm. What is happening? the photos are about 7min after. The timelapse is 5min.
