  1. Recommending to place what you remove into a dish for inspection before you throw it out. Suuuper easy to suck up little snails; I needed a magnifying glass to tell food apart from snails, at first. Mine were soo small, like sesame seeds.
  2. They like moss as well, if you have any spare. I found they enjoy holding onto it.
  3. I see him! The bold adventurer! ORD! 😍 @Katherine @Guppysnail @Damo.Lo
  4. Yeah that’s hard because either a) it’s not ready yet or b) it wasn’t getting the right amount of humidity compared to the rest of the clutch. We will see what it does. Maybe nothing, maybe something. Either way, you’ve got babies! 🐌
  5. Since they are little it may seems like no movement at first but they are going places- just slowly because they have little feet! Hahah mine too! This is an exciting moment!
  6. If you are not able to crumble that hard part of the clutch put it into the incubator again. It should not stay submerged.
  7. @TeeJay those are snails! Congratulations! Crumble the clutch into the tank and dunk that paper towel in the tank so everyone goes to their new home.
  8. Look inside the open eggs to see if any look wet and shiny. If that is what you see inside those open eggs, those are snail shells.
  9. @TeeJay is this egg open? Does it look wet/shiny inside? From the pic it looks like a snail is coming out.
  10. Dot was on the sand at the edge of the food dish today. S/he was right side up until I did a water change, then she stayed on her back. 🙄 I waited 3 hours then gave a little puff of water with the turkey baster and she retracted. Her lethargy is driving me nuts. I never know if she’s ok. Meanwhile in the main tank, York and Dodger are enjoying carrots while C-3PO cleans floating plants. He really likes the waterline. He was doing laps around the tank at the water line all day yesterday. He bumped into Hampshire earlier also.
  11. We better ask @Guppysnail. I think when it’s fall apart stage it’s ready? I think that means that within the clutch some are chewing out the walls of their eggs. Let’s see if she can confirm before you do anything.
  12. Found this. I think maybe go with half doses? That’s what I do with Fritz Zyme 7 when my cycle crashes. Link Yeah but this one has PEANUT BUTTER M&Ms! 🤣💛💚💙 P.S. You are quoting posts like a champ now! 👍
  13. Yes to dosing the full volume of the tank with Prime during water change. I’m not sure about Stability. I don’t use that one.
  14. Hmm. I wonder if that’s how they start out? Without a shell? Or if that was a birth defect.
  15. Yep, keep doing water changes daily to get the nitrites down. Meds can crash the cycle as they process through the filter. You’ll want to use a dechlorinator such as Prime when you change water because it renders the nitrites nontoxic. This video is a great breakdown of the cycle if you haven’t seen it yet. And yes! I’m having a great time in your post. We are getting things resolved one day at a time, and side chatting about snails and crabs! ☺️
  16. Yes they are. Most people feed their betta a food called Bug Bites.
  17. They might think they want to eat but they realize they are full, the flake might be too big and spitting it out and eating it again makes it smaller for their mouths, or they don’t like it. Sometimes my fish eat a piece of dead plant leaf that is floating and realize it’s not food and spit it out. Many people on the forum feed Xtreme Krill flakes. That food seems to be widely accepted. York carrying her carrot around. She is rooting for Greg.
  18. I wonder if @TeeJay is getting his coffee and going to check the clutch.
