NickG83
Just wondered if anyone knew of a good food to feed nerite snails? Algae is all gone and I’m worried they’re going hungry... Thanks for any info! ✌️

GardenStateGoldfish
Nerites don't really eat food to much, they like algae and vegetation, seasoned tanks usually have enough to sustain them but if you get a bunch to wipe out an algae problem and they do it in a week some will die from starvation. You can try zucchini or green beans, but I have never seen my nerites eat those, they just eat micro stuff on surfaces. Mystery snails and pest snails will eat foods but never my nerites do that. If your worried he will starve, you can try leaving the lights on longer to help a little more algae grow if you can tolerate that, but it also depends how many nerites you have per how many gallons, they will continue to eat stuff you can't see very easily. Kirsten
Yeah, I say just leave the lights on longer and if you have plants, add a little Easy Green as well. Adding smooth rocks or driftwood will increase the surface area they can feed from.
