Terry
Please let me know if this is a good idea. I have an extra air pump and stone. The tank is a little cloudy. I am thinking of getting the Polly pad , cutting it to size, and seal it around the air stone to polish my water. Should i throw it away when it gets dirty, or rinse and repeat since it should have beneficial bacteria. thank you all.
Administrators Cory Posted February 17, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 17, 2021 You'd get more use out of wrapping a sponge filter. You need some uplift to accomplish the fine polishing you're looking for.
Frank
All I see happening is filtering the air coming out of the air stone. If you have a tube that the stone can fit inside, with a little room to spare, putting the floss pad over the bottom would provide some filtration. Terry
Thanks cory, what should I wrap it with ? Just cut open the poly gab and wrap it around the sponge filter ?
Will Billy
What type of filter(s) do you currently use? Im sure we can figure something out. Poly pads are meant to be disposable, sponge pads are reusable.
